take a look at the SG 162 that is listed for sale. Looks like its right what you are looking for
arneburner's ?
i was thinking about it but my concern is the stiffness - not too stiff ?
i am probably not going to be in hard boots. stiff soft boots and NX2-GT bindings, but not hard boots.

or you could go over to @b0ardski's blowout garage sale and get one of his cigar shaped pow boards and do this to it...
Good advice, Dave. I did get a deal done with b0ardski. won't be a need to cut it, though.
thanks for the responses, All.

Prior Fissile 178
This is my powder tree sidecountry choice and it floats me at a bit over 200
the sidecut makes even tight tree days amazing in the pow
178 is longer than what I am looking for.
Thanks though

Got a few days on it, borrowed to friednds few times, but mostly sitting unused, since I ride alpine most of the time.
NS Chairman is a great board. I have access to nearly the entire NS lineup, thanks to a NS brand-loyal friend. Also, I am looking for something other than a cigar shape.
Thanks

How about a Winterstick Tom Burt 172?
I have so many cigar shaped boards, but thanks for the offer. Appreciated

I like the technical specs on the Flagship and the build quality (Jones) is very nice. What length is yours ?

If your idea of powder involves some piste (mine doesn't, because I listened carefully at school), then you may want to bear that in mind.

How did you like those boards?
Jones, Capita, Rossi - in order, from best liked to least liked. All three between 148 and 154. They all performed better than I expected, after looking at them underfoot. I would probably get the Jones for myself but I have access to a friend's.

Are any of these boards agile? I should think he’d be looking for a modern volume shifted board well under 160 in length.
yes - compared to any of my Tankers. the Undertaker maybe not so much but I am still grateful that anyone with an Undertaker is willing to sell tome.
also, in my original post, I referenced an Osin 168 that I own as probably adequate, but i want something different.
your point is well taken though, Neil. i have ridden the Rossi Sushi, Jones StormChaser, Capita Spring Break - all iin short lengths.

I should have bought Dan's wicked Dynastar, a while back.

Thanks for the replies, all 3.
1. I will look at images of the Rossi Judge - no need to post pics. Get back to you.
2. I have owned/ridden Heritage & Swift, respectively. Very nice boards but not what I am looking for. Thank You for posting. I do appreciate it.
3. Osin swallow- how much, boardski?
DM if you prefer. Thanks
Thanks All

i am not exactly sure what i am looking for but i will know it when i see it.
i am going to need a board that is better in tight spaces than any of my Tankers.
i already have an Osin 168 that will probably suit the need, but i want something different.
nothing so exotic that i will be devastated if it gets nicked up - because it will. badly.
i was actually thinking about arneburner's $200 SG but i think that might be too stiff or just not Pow specific enough ? yes/no?
also, it probably isn't going to be cigar shaped, whatever it is.
anyone have a Pow board that fits the description, to sell ?

immortalized - by a brand not her sponsor.
i wonder where the original work is.

I have one - with a fresh Deer Valley full Olympic/World Cup Tune. 1 base 3 side
If you want to know who tuned it, I will PM you.
I can't sell it for cash because I bought it on this site for a great price. I would never part with it for that same amount. I think the tune at Deer Valley cost the same, with a tip.
I will trade for the right powder board.

imho;
the next steward of any board that is gifted like this should be whomever is lucky enough to notice the next thread/post that offers to send it forward, shortly after it is put up. and is truly stoked for the board, of course.
i think it is more respectful of and more in keeping with the spirit of the original gift. and i think it provides the present steward and the next steward with an experience closer to the original intent. when and who is part of the magic.
one does not “reserve” winning anything. one wins, or doesn’t.
a few Virus boards (that could easily have been sold) have generously been passed on this way. if i were the original source, i would personally be discouraged if I saw people jockeying to queue for next. maybe that’s just me.
to be clear, i am not trying to be a downer or micro-aggress on west carven. i am not interested in the board, either. if i had an interest i wouldn’t opine. if anything, West has written enough about stance and other data points to make the case that it’s tailored for him. i truly do not want my one opinion to in any way impact whatever path this board is on.

. first day was in November, last day in April.
. 55 days, 3 of which were particularly all-time/amazing (1 pow day at Snowbird and 2 hero cord days here in the mid-atlantic). rode in the rain a lot because my daughter will ski in any weather - it's good for me, she says.
. watched my daughter's skiing progress, exponentially.
. scored a new pair of Atomic Redster SL skis for my kid at a price that had to have been a mistake. still makes no sense.
. I broke 1 rib. I broke 3 boards (2 because of very heavy, wet snow). i think i would have preferred to break 3 ribs and 1 board. all very painful, just the same.
. saw Sunapee for the first time - I am a fan. Great vibe there. met Kildy at Sunapee and saw his latest Frankenstein project, under his feet. that guy has a battery, for sure. wonder how his brain ever goes to sleep.

where are you in PA ? ever go to Roundtop ? i am there a lot because my kid races there.
if you just want to try it out, i have size 31.5 - an old pair of Head Stratos Pro that that I will give you but you'll need to think about getting new liners and booster straps. all the buckles and the lean mechanism work.
let me know

I am looking for a pair of stock lean mechanisms that came on the Head Stratos Boots, I figure they are out there laying around if somebody switched over to the Bomber BTS or ACSS mechanism.
thanks,

i have an old pair of shells that i use for parts.

you have a better looking thumb than i do.

Don't have any fears about Karen or the board being in Russia...... I bought a board form Karen and he is legit and my board arrived as fast as a domestic shipment and was professionally wrapped with the utmost care!
Top notch seller and all around good guy! Buy with confidence
very nicely done, barryj. on a forum like this, it's super helpful.

Cool. Dave Dowd saved me. Not sure I would have done that if I hadn't seen the picture. That image stayed with me.

Don't forget the discussed condition when I handed it to you. If you ever decide to let it go, I will take it back at the price - $ amount of fun you had (compared to others) on Impact, which means you will need to hand it over to me for free & probably a rad air 200.
Not Beluga.. but few BOL members have Blitz and Overdose. I know you are addicted to Pow and long sticks but Blitz is "supersized" Impact. you will love it.
Let's ride together this year. I got something you will love to try on this year (again).
I'd very much like to ride together, Pius. My kld races at Roundtop and that is where I have spent most of my "local" hill time the past few seasons. Got a few (6) days in CO a couple of weeks ago. UT later in the season, maybe another CO or Tahoe excursion in the Spring - all depending on the state of the public health crisis, of course.
So.............what did you get ? Kessler 168, SG ? something weird ? do tell.
-
thanks AJCdice. now i think i want one.

First Thirst for me. Pretty excited to get out there. WARP Superconductor 175/19.1. As with most Thirsts I have seen, it’s hard to capture the brilliance of the topsheet in indoor light, but it’s awesome and never looks exactly the same from any angle. Thanks MM for a great build with remarkable attention to detail and finish.
beautiful board. any chance you'd consider taking another picture that is a profile shot, board on the floor ? i know hardwood flooring has variances and is not perfectly flat, but i am wondering what the camber profile looks like, from just a glance. it really is pleasing to look at.

Hi Ink. Hi Mario.
Thanks Gentlemen. Sorry I went quiet. to ride my Kessler, i improvised. Hardboot on the front foot and a softboot on the back foot. a Catek OS1 step-in and a Flow NX2GT with a Bomber Power Plate. i remember seeing a photo of a guy racing about 30 years ago with a set up like that. that was the inspiration, along with necessity.
Thanks again.

Powder Board - i think i need an agile, darty board (i am tall, 200 lbs)

ha ha !
when I saw the pic, i got a good laugh. it's especially funny because I am getting a few powder boards together for a cat trip in January with a group of friends who always expect me to show up with a bag full of race boards. the first time i ever hung out with this particular group was in Park City and I ended up hiking to the top of Jupiter peak in hard boots and an old race stock Burton FP 185 (RIP).
arneburner has an SG for sale that is actually a fairly good candidate for my needs.
i bought b0ardski's Osin 168. the Osin is not short or darty, but it is shorter and dartier than my Tankers, for sure.
still looking for one other, shorter, more nimble board
