several years ago i snapped 5 ribs in CO and the fear of getting a bill that looked like this informed my stupid decision to get myself off of the hill, unassisted. i foolishly left the scene like I’d robbed a bank or something ( i hit a fixed object, not another skier/boarder)i wish I could say I was in shock or unaware of the extent of my injuries, but a piece of paper like barryj’s bill for transport was precisely what i was thinking about the whole time.

……easy slope until the muscle memory kicked back in.
good advice, I think.
hang in there, barryj.
and persist, without pressing too much.

$600 plus actual cost of shipping.
excellent condition.
If interested, message me and I will send you pictures.

the flames on the Kessler are good flames, as flames go. just a theme that is played, IMO.
my 185 is all black. Previously, I had a white one and a bare metal - both 185. I liked the red one that I saw in CO a few years back. I think Kessler should leave the flame graphics to others. Swiss Army knives don’t have flames.

I went straight to the 8:00 and watched……twice. Wow.
I will go back and watch how they did the video it but I am sure that I will never understand how the guy on the bike did what he did.

I think it is overbuilt in its current state, but this is surely not the final draft. I think it’s an interesting proof of concept. It solves the problem that people who want to use soft boots with forward angles have, that the Highback Is no longer doing much for you.
I am intrigued. In soft boots (size 15), lowest angles i ever run are +45\+30. I get it, totally.
My first cautious thought was that maybe I don't want to go in the trees with those things. Otherwise, I would love to try them. Good luck

I recommend the brisket, for lunch

This took a while LOL it is Kildy this post still working o shit this is funny but here is what I wanted to do a million years ago I finally got around to it. It will eb available in fall 2022/2023 season
www.oneski.com
It works and works well. I can attest.
Mike is an Olympian so he can probably ride a lunch tray smoothly but there was absolutely nothing gimmicky about this creation.
I saw Mike on this (w/Head Rebels) at Sunapee last year. Presumably, he was testing/refining. Rode a chair or two with him, along with my daughter.
all the best to you, Kildy. Pleasure meeting you

Previous owner of my house “conveyed” a can crusher - same make, same model.
23 years and I am still looking at it. Used it once to see if it works.

I see this. Never used. Never had bindings on it. For some reason the pic went sideways.
anyway, wish me luck with the negotiations

Good gawd....look at that heelside.....
carvedog,
I hope you are well and that the Supermodel is still holding up for you.

They look better than any of mine, at this point. One last question- you have the hardware? (2Kingpins/receptors, 8 bolts)
thanks

Hi nekdut. I hope you are well.
the Catek OS1 - are the heel receivers in good shape ?
much wear (concave) that can be felt with the fingertip ?
distortion of the oval shape ?
thanks
Dave

Thanks for the heads up. Nice for the Pittsburgh area bunch, for sure. It is 3 hours drive from me and I rarely go there, but now maybe I will go there one or two days a season.

But it looks like a dart!
I think you'll find it nimble. Will ride shorter than the length suggests.
my thoughts exactly, BlueB. not too worried because i know it's not a stiff board, i have the 3800 in the same length and am familiar with the feel (and i like it). the nose on the 4807 looks like it has a little more float than the 3800 and the tail on the 4807 looks like what i want behind my back foot on steeps/in bottomless/at speed. my hunch is that the 4807 looks like what i want when i want to frequently modulate speed in pow.
i pretty much always ride Tankers in pow, 187 - 200. comparatively, and given my size, the 4807 seems short and nimble looking enough for me.
rode a Sims Burner 197 today (with a world class tune)

It was amazing for 5 runs when chairs first loaded 0800 and then some other folks showed up. it needs ALL the space, of course.
Stay on the nose and it is more cooperative and predictable than I intuit when I am just standing over it.
The way the tail finishes the turn is a special sensation, for sure. some lightening at the end is just what I need these days, anyway.
It is in amazing condition for its age and Rennstall @ Deer Valley tuned it beautifully and really brought it to life.
a couple of years ago, I was lapping Silverlode or Motherlode at PC on this Burner and saw Billy Bordy with his family. I would have loved it if he could have jumped on it and shown me what it is really capable of. He had several over the years - broke the tail on each, if I recall.
