Have a friend that started carving last season on a borrowed board. She is looking for a 158 board and bindings.

Agree with the hanging back a bit, that always helps if you are unsure of the people around you. The high speed lifts always give me a problem and I tend to hang back a bit just so I can push off the lift with a little bit of speed.

Blue was good the couple of times I went up. Early morning riding on Mile was the best it could be for this time of year. Just got back from Stratton dealing with rain on Sunday morning (day turned out to be great), sheet of ice on Monday and Tuesday was fast but able to dig in some nice lines. Looks like this weekend will be a washout for PA and most of the northeast. Might try Blue on Saturday morning.

Teach - did you get out last weekend? Weather has taken a turn for the worst. Looks like things will approve in January.

It will be packed, kind of remember last year being pretty bad on black friday . Since i'm on a season pass, going to head up there on Saturday just to check it out. If its really bad, will just end up leaving.

When do you plan on going and how long do you plan on taking for vacation? Unfortunately, if you are looking for a PB&J place, that kind of knocks out a lot of the major resorts. Although, if you are going to be packing your lunches, that shouldn't really matter.

I got to agree with everyone here, you are going to find most places have only a few trails open and conditions can be very variable. For Stowe, based on their website, they averaged 12 trails open during the week on November 22-30. Which is really only about 6 from top to bottom. The crowds everyone might be light, but schools out for Thanksgiving so there may be a good about of kids.

Thanks for the info philw. I'll have to check and see if it has a date code on it. Later than 97 doesn't seem possible (bought my house that year and that pretty much put an end to buying new equipment!!!). I think it had Oxygen bindings on it, which I think were yellow and black. They had big front bails on them, that were spring loaded.

What year was that board made? I have an old Nitro Scorpion 60 and just wondering what year it was made. Was a fun board to ride on, but the bindings finally broke.

I'm very tempted to head up there for a couple of runs. When you going Teach?

Just a question for anybody that is using RC-10 boots. I was at the boot fitter today and he noticed on both my boots how loose the canting connections were on the boots (the picture is where its loose). Its almost as if the center disk is too small and the larger outer cant disk is allowed to move up and down. Anybody have this issue on their boots? To be honest, I've never noticed it before, so I'm not sure fixing it is going to change anything on my end. Thanks in advance. Mark

Hello Everyone - I'm heading up to Stowe for the month of February and would really like to meet up with some other carvers. Was there last year for a couple of weeks, but didn't see to many on the mountain. Just checking to see if there are some on the Bomber forum.
