  1. Do you have a list? I am interested in the Arbor and the Burton ultra prime
  2. Looks like I am finally going to make it this year as I will likely be moving to Steamboat Springs! Can not wait!
  3. I have been seeing the allflex plate system a lot lately in World Cup, USASA, and Nor-Am races (if you have not seen it you can check it out here http://allflexplate.com/index.php/en/). I have just been wondering if anyone has ridden it or knows anything about it. Looks like an interesting but smart design.
  4. Photoshop, illustrator, or GIMP. GIMP is free and a great program
  5. I had a good year and its still not quite over. I rode about 130 days. I marked my days so I will have to count, but last year I got 125
  6. I saw a lot of hardbooters at mammoth last week. Just wondering who you were and what board you were riding. I was on a blue 157 Donek Rev with a Donek F Plate and Burton race plates. At the end of the day I switched to softies for an hour or two and rode the phillipes and some of the other chutes up there, the snow was great!
  7. Thats awesome! I raced In youth men last year and it is my second year competing as well but this year in Junior men. Probably the most competitive and classes besides open class maybe the fastest classes too
  8. Carvingscooby, already moved the metal teeth back and have done the micro adjustment on the buckles. Thanks
  9. haha I train on my bike almost everyday and my calfs stay the same
  10. So lately I have been having a problem with my boots being a little too loose around my calfs. I don't think it is enough to effect my riding but I would like it too be tighter. Any suggestions? I ride in deeluxe boots
  11. thats one of my friends... There were only 5 people in her class :P
  12. Yeah 17. Yeah its a good group... Next year though I will be in open class
  13. Slalom in Junior Men. I raced GS too but on my second run I fell, if i did not fall I would have been in finals
  14. Hello, now that nationals is over I was wondering who on here raced and how you guys did. I won fourth place in a very close race for third.... Had lots of fun
  15. You need to use higher angles. It looks like you have a F2... I have one too with f2 bindings and my angles are 60/57 I have no overhang at all... try that
  16. I like the Ride bindings, the Capo or El Hefe binding will be great for carving. My brother uses Burton Cartels for BX on his Donek board and he can carve really well I personally prefer the Ride bindings. I see you are in Southern California, where do you ride?
  17. Welcome back to hard booting :) I hope you enjoy it and learn quickly. and that is a nice looking board you bought, I'm a big fan of F2 Not quite sure what you mean so I'm not going to comment... Could you explain? If you mean stance width then 45cm is a good place to start for most people then you can experiment with going wider or more narrow. I would center them in the inserts read this http://www.bomberonline.com/resources/Techarticles/binding_setup.html I ride at 60 up front and 56 on the back foot. 35 and 20 is super low you would have to have a really wide board and really small feet to pull that off most people ride anywhere from 45 to 60 the angles are really just determined by how narrow the board is. I would go as low as you can on the back foot as long as you have no overhang and then set the front foot about 1-5 degrees higher. If your feet hang over its bad, and if there is a lot of board between your toes(or heels) and the edge you are to high. But you should experiment with this until you find your "sweet spot" I assume you are talking about cant/lift. For the F2 bindings (the proflex are really just F2) you use wedges that go under the toe and heel blocks if you don't have any you need to order them I am not sure where you would get them if you are from Belgium. But they are pretty cheap and easy to set up (they just take a while) Hope I helped
  18. My mom used to make me wear that exact thing but I felt it was really restrictive and I don't wear it much anymore but I sometimes take the Back piece off and only use that when I am riding in the park or in the trees or BX (last year a guy got a horrible cut all over his back in boarder cross I don't want that to happen to me). Personally I do not like it but when I have worn it it has saved me from taking a trip back home a few times. I feel that the back piece is the most important thing but you will probably get pretty warm wearing that.
  19. Never rode with the X-Bones but I would not strap my feet into them. I am a big fan of the F2 step ins and the F2 Titanflex (a lot more flexible than most step-ins) and the Bomber TD3s are great... You should try to get together with another hardbooter in your area if possible it will help you a lot. It may take some time to learn but it will be worth it, just focus on proper technique and try to advance as fast as possible as soon as you feel ready move to the steeper slopes just try not to stay on the bunny slope too long you will advance faster when you get off on the longer steeper runs. Good luck, stay with it because the learning process can be brutal
  20. I was up riding today... Had to live early because there was a crazy FBI manhunt going on. More of it went on at Bear Mountain but we were warned about it so we just left
  21. You should consider the BTS kit sold here: http://bomberonline.3dcartstores.com/BTS-kit_p_106.html and use it with the yellow springs I think that will help you out. You could also leave the top buckle undone and ride in walk mode that will give you a lot more flex up in your shins and you don't have to spend any money to try it out. UPZ ATB's may also be nice but not worth the money in my opinion and then you will only want to use them days you ride moguls or powder and stuff like that I doubt you would have any fun trying to carve in them.
  22. Thats terrible to hear he was an amazing rider I loved watching him. At least he died doing what he loved. And my prayers go out to his family
  23. I know for snowboarding there are competitions to qualify... Apparently for snowmobile its only motocross experience... and an adrenaline addiction
  24. I would go with the 26 if you can get 1 finger in the 26 shell. After you mold the liners and they get packed out you will be fine
