To www.oldsnowboards.com Thanks :) I have never done any racing but was taught by racers including a pro-racer. So that's why my riding may be similar to racing style. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWDDErypYXk To lowrider The boards in the picture are demos and test boards :) I can ride so many type of Coilers because I live close to Bruce. I'm lucky :)

To SunSurfer Wow. Thanks a lot. I didn't know all these information at all. Will try them! :)

Thanks! I'm visiting my family in Japan this year and bringing some Coiler demos with me. I will have Coiler demo events in Japan at least two days :) I wanna visit you guys some day soon and of course bring some demos with me as well.

I finally got a Coiler. And got a Gopro as well. So decided to take some videos and edited them with Gopro Studio that is free online. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDZxPHewVtA

I'm thinking but not yet. Snow still everywhere, not on paving though. MSLM ski area I've beenriding is closed. They still have a lot of snow but enough visitors. Cyperess was 6 digrees coler than city level. But here, almost the same temperature as city. It's a hill!

Hey Boris, I wish I were there and could try them out! They look so nice, man. I'm surprised that Hokkaido guys got those boards as well! I started looking for a place I can practice slalom-skateboarding.

March.26 -10ish degrees in the morning. A bit harder than the conditions on the 25th. Good conditions this time of year. Riding with Gabe. I ran into a new alpine snowboarder. Yesterday was the 2nd day for him. He is a great skier but started alpine snowboarding. After carving, I went to a English class. I think I need to learn English more than carving now By the way, Gabe is a great carver and also great baker. His banana bread is good.:D

Hi Robert, I impressed with your super tight turn :) When you get proper board for you, you'll improve much more. I'm not the right person who can tell you tips but if you got it, I'm happy. Forgot to tell you one more thing, I'll tell you that next time or email. Maybe I should post the Coiler demo day on this thread next season. Bruce has some good boards for EC:biggthump I just found out that the counselor at the Learning Centre I talked to gave me wrong registration paper. He might have signed me up for a wrong course that I can't go.

I heard Moss Snowsticks are good board. One of boards I wanna ride for sure. BC Stream has a model called Katana. Cool design eh? Ogasaka Snowboards http://www.ogasaka-snowboard.com/ MOSS Snowboards http://www.pioneermoss.com/mosssnowboards/home/home.html (MOSS Snowstick http://www.pioneermoss.com/SNOWSTICK/top/top.html ) BC Stream http://www.bc-stream.com/index.htm GRAY Snowboards http://www.graysnowboards.co.jp/ These are all Japanese brands. Tomoka Takeuchi won the silver medal in the Ladies' Parallel Giant Slalom in 2014 winter Olympics in Soch with Black Pearl Snowboard. BP is from Switzerland, but now ACT GEAR is making them in Japan. March. 25 I had an appointment this morning so got there around 11:30. About a inch of flesh snow. Mount St. Louis side was a little harder than Moonstone side. But my edges didn't touch hard base. Kind of heavy pow. Encountered bad snow squall there. I couldn't see the two chair lift in front of me. If it doesn't snow after they groom, it'll be nice carving day tomorrow. I gotta go take English class starting from tomorrow. I'll study English instead of carving from now on...:( Bruce let me use his demos again:) I couldn't ride Coiler Angry on the 1st day but I finally found the way I should do today. I really enjoyed both boards.

They make really nice, smooth and stable boards. I like the scene (2:40) that Kohei is riding on soft-boots. He said he rode a free-style board like a alpine snowboard.

Feb. 26 -17ish degrees in the morning. Windy. A inch powder snow on the hard-packed run. Became a little messy after 10:00am. But was not too bad because wind blew some shreded snow later. Robart: Thanks. I'd like to share carving tips with you but unfortunately I don't ride on Monday or Friday. I know Ben rides on Monday. So I assume you saw his friend(s). Hopefully I see you some time soon. I usually stay on Moonstone side. Mostly on Promenade. I don't know your jacket color so please stop me and say hi next time you see me. Thanks.

Feb.20 -5 to -6 degrees in the morning, +1 degree afternoon. Snow started becoming soft on the 19th so I thought icy conditions on the 20th. But it was still good condition. Mid-packed. Became a bit soft afternoon. It's raining now so I assume icy tomorrow...? Hot is Ben's. I met the skier who hate carvers again on Wednesday. If you are good carver, he'll come up and tell you "Your trenches are too deep..." :)

I woke up "earlier" than usual this morning but I'm gonna skip riding today. For my knee. I think I rode my Ogasaka wrong yesterday. I'll give my knee a rest and take care of it today and will go up on Tuesday and Wednesday.
-
That's great, Gabe!:D Next time will be me. Today was a good day. Keyser : Those are GREX FCX plates. http://www.grexjapan.com/suspensionitem.html Just risers but they absorb vibration. They make your bindings feel a bit softer.

Feb.6 -18 degrees in the morning, -8? degrees afternoon. Hard-packed. It turned great conditions. I thought it was gonna be soft-packed because of snow yesterday. A skier came up to me and complained about my trenches today. He said "how do you feel damaging runs? Yours are too deep." or something like that. I said "Thank you.". But he was serious.

Feb.1 -2 degrees. Mid-packed in the morning, soft afternoon due to snow. I didn't go up today (Sun) b/c got somethings I should do on weekend. And my knee can take a rest too. Am going up there on Tuesday. Hi charliechocotate, How's it going? I heard Cypress has not gotten enough snow yet. I might brought snow cloud with me from there. I have a F2 equipe 178 too. I wasn't comfortable with riding narrow runs. Now here, runs are shorter but wide enough to avoid people. So I'm using longer boards a lot here. Please say hi to YVR carvers for me.

Jan.23 -12 degrees. windy. Midium packed conditions. Wind slowed me a lot but the snow was good. Tried another Coiler today. I love this board as well. Long but easy to control. High edge grip. I need a steeper run :)
-
Jan.22 -30 degree in the morning. Snow was a little slow. But became good after 11PM. Runs shape was great all day today. Should be great conditions tomorrow as well.

Jan.16.2014 Almost the same as the conditions the day before, but it was better on Promenade. I really enjoyed the icy run that day. Jan.18 We had 4 to 5 inches of snow in Barrie so I assume MSLM got the same amount of snow on the 17th. I got there late due to working the night shift on Friday. The runs were already a little bumpy when I arrived. And there were so many people, more than a usual weekend. Hopefully they pack the runs hard overnight.
