Nah..........by May I'm in already in multi sport mode here! - carving it up on the groomers in the mornings then a 25-50 mile road bike ride in the afternoon then hitting the weight room.

All this to stay in condition for My Hot-Blooded Wife who  has her on idea of what "exercise" is!   :eplus2:

Fine. Then no complaining about droughts for at least two years. And keep your people out of Colorado! There's gotta be something...

  2. What am I doing with my life. 😐  Another Friday morn at Creek with the Wonton. First chair. They made snow, "Yay!" I guess. Wasn't the typical teeth-rattling ice morning so we proceeded the wreck the place. At times I wasn't sure if I was carving down to ice or bedrock. I felt kinda bad for all the old folks skiing through our trail of destruction, but it passed. 👍 A couple of systems to move through, one being a noreaster so hopefully they get a little help to extend this dismal season...

300?  That's nothing,  we passed that back in Dec.!

We Just Hit 600 Inches   and we got another 70 inches  on the way over the next 10 days!  :biggthump

Yeah well I'll be thinking of you in May while I'm out on the golf course and you're stuck driving behind everyone in Truckee with 3 foot white birthday cakes still on their cars roof.   Now if you'll pardon me, I have to pack for a forced week in Floriduh with my hot-blooded eyetalian wife.  Gulf coast of course so half the golf courses are under repair and the red tide is keeping people out of the water.  I'm probably gonna melt to the tarmac once I hit that godawful heat.  I'm a bit on edge if you can't tell. :freak3:

I'M MOVING TO CALIFORNIA! TO HELL WITH INCOME TAX!

    j/k

I don't think it's a tax per say, more like they just take it by force any chance they get.

  4. A better solution to the 4mm hex might be, well...second only to using blue loctite and not over tightening 🙄, stainless TORX flat heads. They won't/shouldn't strip out like hex. HOWEVER, you'll then have to carry around a T30 AND 5mm hex for the sole blocks and baseplate.  You could also replace the M6's in the sole blocks with torx, however the baseplate is M8 torx and would require a T45.  You're still carrying 2.  Group buy time!  👍  You should probably get M6 20MM and 16MM, unless the 20mm can secure the sole blocks without protruding too far...

Su*k it up Kneel. Like we used to say when I taught at Vernon Valley "You gott'a be tough to live in the mountains" (of Jersey).

Okay, so you've lived it and earned the right to say it.  Lumps taken. But these people with their average +300",s of snowfall should be required to pick up their season passes to their fancy white and fluffy resorts a the bottom of Zero-G...on a weekend.  Then MAYBE they will understand...  :smashfrea

  7. Interesting to see what the breakdown was.  Just looked at my stats and saw 52 days on the pass.  The final 6 were at Snowmass.  We flew out of Pitkin on March 12th.  Everything shutdown on the 13th.  Maybe I would have had another 10 days at Stratton?  I remember March 2020 being pretty sparse for snow in the northeast.  I'm not really complaining, because I clearly got my money's worth. But $10? That's like saying "Sorry! Here's a free bottle of resort-priced Powerade...".

  8. Minisesh this morning for me at the Creek.  Met up with Señor Wonton which is always fun. Conditions were meh. Supposedly I was leaving some Mario depth trenches to which the Wonton discovered, to his obvious dismay and my apparent giggly joy. Felt good to be out on the Thirst SF.  Both of us actually.  What are the odds of two SF's cranking turns in the DIrty Jerz at the same time? Such a wonderfully turny little bastard.  Can't wait for the Thirst "Jeff Gillooly" Signature model to be released. 👍

  9. Someone reminded me that my value pass not only gave me weekend access, but also an 8:00am start time, a full hour to avoid the throngs waiting to get their Creek on at 9. I'm not gonna say "it wasn't that bad", because, well, it was. Was good to see and ride with @Mr Wontonoutdoors for once, although it's looking like the Mall might be the only game in town with the mid 50's and rain forecast for the end of the week.  Glad he convinced me to go.  Bonus was that I didn't die. 👍

  10. Yeah yeah I know.  I read above.  But bags suck. And zippers suck.  A Sportube 2 would be perfect for the little MK.  Same weight as a bag.  No shitty zippers.  Just pull the pin and lift the lid.  It'll protect your ride better than any bag will while bouncing around in the back of a van.  Fine.  Don't listen. 👍

Is that Ink (kinda looked like Kevin's riding?) on the swallowtail? An Incline swallowtail? I'd love to hear more about that board. I love my Thirst swallowtails for carving. Somehow, they really smooth out chop and ruts.

    Nice riding everybody!

RE: the big ruts, maybe just put down the pork rolls 😉

I dropped 3lbs on the table in front of that @Carvin' Marvinkid a couple weeks ago, you shoulda seen the smile on his face. Cooked a few slices on the manifold on the ride home even...

Thank you Lci crew!  Sun is out, great hero snow, amazing people.
It's an honor to participate in the sacred church of carve and received holy communion that is pure stoke.
Still grinning ear to ear thinking about today.
The positive energy feedback loop is just amazing.
An inexplicable bond formed when you find "your people" and sharing this wonderful sports that we all go cuckoo for.

Meh, they're ok.  Did they show you the secret handshake? Make you an "official" member of the LCI? It USED to be an exclusive group, now they let just about everyone in...🙄

Not many goons since it was a Wednesday. No wait at lift or for fries.

It made me want to order an 8rw.

    Not for THAT place. 🤪

Word on the street is that Mr. Miller is whipping up something special for us icecoasters. 👍 I'd never tell you to NOT order an 8RW, because that is a special board, but you may want to save a few sheckles just in case...
