  1. I got to live in Japan from 1998 to 2001, my dad was air force and we were stationed in Misawa air force base. The base would run programs where they would bus us to and back from the resorts for a pretty affordable price. It was so awesome because back then all the Japanese were wearing bright neon 80 esc gear while smoking cigarettes on the slopes. A few times I saw some Japanese hardbooters leaving some huge trenches and I thought man those are some deep ruts and I wanted to try it someday.

Fast forward to the 2015-2016 season and I was browsing reddit and came across the ocho subreddit (which was from the movie dodgeball, it was the wacky sports channel) when I saw the locked stocked and two alpine snowboard video. I was so mesmerized by their carving abilities that I took it upon myself to devour all information about alpine snowboarding and where it was in the current day. I ended up reading the whole carvers almanac and fell in love with the sport! I picked up a 180 rev and some upz and self taught for the most part with much help from bomber. Got a lesson from an old racer in Santa fe which helped tremendously. This will be my 4th season and my first on my own custom board from Bruce. It's a EC board and I am incredibly excited! Thanks @Corey for the info about your EC board wooohooo!

P.s. I can't wait to come up to Colorado again and hang out with the Loveland carving crew you guys were amazing!!!

  2. So I am on the lift having a conversation with a gentleman who is on skis and was about halfway up when he notices what I am on (a 180 rev with a bomber bp and TD3 SW step-ins). So I explain to him the sport and briefly its history and right when I am explaining to him the experience of the edge hold I say "look right there at that line that's mine" as we are going over one of my deepest carves of my past run to which he says "That's no line! That's a trench!". It made me chuckle and feel so accomplished. I love getting to ride weekdays without the crowds :biggthump

  3. How well do gecko plates work for a wider EC style board? I am thinking of getting a Coiler EC next year and was wondering how well these plates would do on it. I have a bomber boiler plate and I like it but it is a bit heavy and it increases my stack height (I am 6'4'') to the point where my front knee is compressed under the chairlift footrest bar and I kind of have to lean forward to get comfy. So maybe these would be a nice alternative.

  4. Shoot that's what I was afraid of. I contacted the YYZ guys and they didn't have any of the lowered cants. Then I contacted Shaun of donek and he had 1 pair of 3/3 degrees but he said the thin pucks were cracked and he wouldn't sell them to me so unless bomber gets their stuff together I'm kind of screwed unless one of you kind gentlemen has an extra pair that I can purchase or borrow until bomber is back in business. If anyone would be so willing please PM me and you will be generously rewarded, any help would be awesome thanks.

  5. I am in desperate need of the boiler plate lower cant disks and E-rings for TD3s, I'll take any combo of degrees but prefer a 6 and a 3. Please help, I ordered these from bomber but when the drama went down they are nowhere to be seen so I am afraid I won't be able to use my new boilerplate in the way it is supposed to be with the bp lower cants.
