  1. Actually, let me be more specific. This is not a new model from Donek, nor is it a prototype. I asked Sean if he would make me a board that was a 172cm length, 11m SCR, and a 19cm waist. And I designed the graphic. Outside those, the only other request, although a very important one, was to make a board that would give the performance characteristics of the MK. I wanted an MK that made a bigger turn, simple. Maybe not so simple (they did after all test the original MK with multiple prototypes over a couple of years to get the final production model right). This is not an MK, but, it is more that than it is a Madd 170. The MK was designed to pay tribute to, and even surpass, the performance of the original Madd 158 (I assume, I wasn't involved). It was a very specific goal, indeed. In having Donek build my board I also had a very specific goal. It was a larger MK not a Madd 170. Regardless, I'll give you all my opinion in a review next year.
  2. That's the idea. I won't get it on snow until next season though.
  3. I just received this today. It is built with the design and performance philosophy of the MK but in a 172cm length. SCR is 11 and the waist is 19.
  4. I have witnessed many issues on the projects I've worked on when venting heat inside or thru wooden cabinets. Lots of separation in the seams and warped doors. Is that wall in the picture an exterior wall? If not you could duct up into that wall and install a larger vent in the wall.
  5. I completely disagree with this. The design of a board, especially from under the front foot to the nose, has a whole lot to do with wether or not that board is good at busting through crud. I do agree with you, rider input has a big effect on the success of riding thru these inconsistent conditions. However, that is true with all the different disciplines of snowboarding. If I am on hard packed powder and I want rail some turns, I can do that on my softies and a powder board, but there are setups that are far better for that purpose.
  6. I want this as a collector's item so it has to be in great shape. It also doesn't have to be a 167, just really clean.
  7. The pic does not include the cant discs or elastomers because I am giving the buyer a choice. I have 3* and 6* cants as well as yellow and purple elastomers to choose from. If you buy the bindings you choose. I do not have 0* cant discs nor red elastomers. These are in great shape and have less than 10 days on them. $200 shipped to US 48.
  8. There are some past boards I regret selling. Rossi Throttle 167, 2 Burton PJ6s, Mistral M5, Checker Pig G6, Burton Stat 6, Burton M6, Oxygen 172 (I can't remember the model number) I wish I had started collecting earlier.
  9. As requested by Bryan. 1997 FP 135 1998 FP 151 1998 FP 157-180s 2016 MK 1997 FP 167 2016 Custom Flux 168 2016 Custom Nomad 170 2014? Tanker 177 1999 FP 178 2008 FC2 179 2015 Proteus 180 2000 World Cup Race 190
  10. My first Tanker. It's a 177 rockered version.
  11. ....and a partridge in a.....
  12. No worries. Enjoy the Flux. I love mine.
  13. The Flux is a metal board and the Nomad is glass. The difference between the two is similar to the difference between two hardboot, carve specific boards, one metal and the other glass. There are many differences. Most of them are subtle though, except for two. The first is how they ride in powder. With the big binding setback, the Nomad is better in powder. The other big difference between the two is their noses. The Nomad has much more of the board in front of you. It is very wide and has a lot of rocker. Both of these attributes help with its amazing float in freshies. I had no problem getting very aggressive on corduroy with the Nomad. The board holds an edge very well.
  14. I've been on it in softies and hardboots. It carves extremely well. I know that Jim from Bomber rides his Nomad in hardboots.
  15. The weight range for this board is 180lbs to 240lbs.
  16. Dan, I sent an email to Sean asking about weight recommendations. I will let you know when he gets back to me. Dave
  17. Thanks for the offer but I want to keep them unless the buyer for this board needs them.
  18. Thanks for the correction.
