You are the man Tim. I enjoy riding with you every time... you are rippin. Gee, you 25 years older than me. WOW! Very proud of you! Keep on going
  2. conditions are good again...12 inches... see ya up there...:D
  3. ... at least for my taste... some people enjoy the slush, not me. We need cold temps and a foot of fresh snow. Otherwise I will not go next weekend...
  4. this time conditions called for the bar... and nothing more :( Gee, I hope we get another storm in... soon! It was so hot, I wanted to get of the chair lift... to find some shade
  5. We are going this weekend to June again... ;) It was very warm last weekend already, but conditions got pretty good at around 10:30... I figure we have not many weekends left, and who knows how much snow we will get from here. So I better be on the mountain and have a view good turns, instead of sitting at home asking myself "why didn't I go boarding this weekend "
  6. I think these temps mean VERY hard/soft conditions for local mountains... Just got of the phone with a friend up in Mammoth/June, and it seems their conditions held up pretty well... I go this weekend...anyone up there as well?
  7. My wife and I are planning to go to CO before the season ends. My question would be to the CO riders, what is the latest in the season you can expect some good conditions? Many thanks Ray

    SES Poll

Tim, OMG, Gunsmoke is a park now I was hoping they don't get enough snow. I have 3 main boards I ride the most now. A 161 Pogo overdose, a 168 Pogo Impact, and a 161H Swoard (#006) :D The Overdose was the one I rode that day when Terry was there. This one is a very stiff, aggressive board with a major "snap" for smaller turns. The Impact is pretty similar, major camber, very aggressive as well, longer turns...This one I just got a couple of days before I went to Aspen (SES). It was very interesting to ride this board for the very first time on absolutely perfectly groomed slopes. Buttermilk that was. The Swoard is in it's own league! I should have taken it to the SES. Many other Swoard owners, plus all the demos Nils and Patrice brought over. The Swoard is a very versatile board with major edge hold, which develops (should) a very elegant graceful carving style. It's just inviting you to lay out the nice fully stretched turns. The entire combination plays a big role here! Binding angels (54/47), not as steep as usual these days, no cant or lift, no step-ins, plus a boot which allows lot's of lateral flex (Northwave .900). I tried to ride the Swoard with my identical configs as I use on my others boards (58/55; toe, heel lift and can't w/ AF700), and no good. It made me fall back into the "racing position". I am really convinced and happy to own a Swoard. Let's put it this way, if I break it, or loose, I will defiantly get another one! Ray

Everyone should come next year! It's a must. Gee, we had soooooo much fun. A wonderful group of people. Many many great carvers from all over. In terms of Donek vs Prior, I think the SWOARD was the big winner of the SES. At least in Aspen did I only hear really great response from all the people who tested it... Don't know how it ended in the Summit... WHY didn't I go Next year the entire SES for sure.
  10. Carveman I am going as well. If you want, you can meet us Sat morning (8:15) at the bottom of chair 2 (Stump Alley) See ya Ray
  11. Hi guys, Used to go to big bear many years ago, but have not been up there for quite some time now. I would be up for meeting with you guys, maybe during the week. The weekends are just to dangerous. Where do you usually go? How many of you? Let me know, and we shredd together...:D

I am using a Strolz foam injected liner with custom made foot beds in almost all my boots (AF700, 121 and Northwave 900...) The liner is a traditional tongue set up... works really great since these really fit very tight around your ankle. Almost no packing out after half the day... The process of forming the liner is a bit painful, but we all know that this only means perfect fit later on. They are also a bit pricy, but again, your foot/boot MUST fit perfect or NO fun for long... my opinion I can highly recommend them. Take a look: http://www.strolz.at/english/gesamt.htm Select Boots --> Inner Boot
  18. Have a pair of old Raichle 121 (Goofball pattern) if someone is interested Shell is fully functional. Liner brand new. Size Mondo 26. Make offer...
  19. Hello Raoul, You got mail...
  20. I don't know if they will fit you. But, the Burton boots run low volume, and if you are a Mondo 26.75... Hmm, hard to tell. What I would do anyway, is to get a Thermoflex liner instead of the original Burton liner (they pack out really fast). That's what I did as well. You can get the Thermoflex liner at Bomber...will fit perfect and are very warm...
  21. I attached a picture (from Burton) of the boot. Mine are in very good condition, no scratches or damages. The original liner was never used at all.
  22. Boy did I tinker around the last two seasons... I needed help too... This season it looks like I found my range of stance/angle ect. Since I am riding flat now my only issue left seems to be stance, angle and toe/heel lift...:p On my Swoard it's really easy, just flat, 55/47/19 and not toe/heel lift (with a nice set of TD2's). On my POGO a little bit more to tinker. Fiddling around 60/58/19 with toe and heel lift, and 57/54/18 flat (a pair of F2 race titanium). But, isn't that all that part of the fun? To play around and experiment a bit... a least for me it is...
  23. Flight is booked...will be in Aspen all days...
