  1. WOW, what a cool threat! Totally missed it… :lurk:

Anyway, and this is just my opinion and personal experience. A couple season ago I switched to Intec and first did not like it at all. I lost to much lateral flex in my new set-up. I enjoyed the ease and convenience of getting in & out of the bindings, so I told myself it is just a matter of time until I get used to the more rigid set-up. I did this for another full season until I finally had it and went back to regular bail bindings. And for me, it was the best move I could have done.

I ride pretty stiff boots Virus UPZ today, Indy’s back than and with my weight (165lbs) I defiantly loose to much lateral flex with step-ins. So for me, I will not go back to step-ins.

It comes down (again) to testing testing & testing and decide what it the best set up for YOU !!!

    Enjoy

    S O L D !

    Selling my Virus UPZ boots.

Size Mondo 25.5 (Shell is 287mm).

Only used the shell (with different liners) last season for about 8 days! The original liners are still brand new! Not sure if all UPZ come with the same type of liners, but this one is the “Flo” liner:

The boots are in great condition (only some cosmetically flaws; Rivets have been exchanged with Stainless Steel screws!).

    Thx

PS. Btw, only reason I sell em is, my new 06/07 Virus boots just arrived…

  3. Dr D,

Hold tight for about another week. We are just finishing up a modified lower assembly for the TD2 binding that is made just for the Skwal boards. Should be ready in the next week or so and on the website.

Just out of curiosity, what is the width of your Skwal where the bindings mount?

That's good news Fin, so it should fit on the VIRUS Black Death (15.1cm) and Cyborg (14.1cm) plus some others as well. :biggthump

  4. Front foot: toe lift with about 1 degree of outward cant

    Rear foot: heel lift only

Front and rear about the same lift. Depending on which board I ride.

I use a wider or narrower stance with either more or less lift (longer boards, wider stance, little more lift)… lift varies between 2 to 5 degree…

Jack, hope you come to the SES again!

  5. You suck Ray!!! :) It's 60 degrees and raining here! I can feel it! Can't wait!

Hey, not saying I have the pleasure to enjoy it! I am, same as you, sitting in way to warm weather (expecting 78 in LA for the next days)… I just saw this pic (it's from Vail) and my heart started pounding... Can’t wait myself.

  6. I really like the UPZ boots, well, “shells” a lot. Agree, the original liner is really not the greatest, but that’s the case with almost all liners out there. Especially if you have “special” feet! I learned several years back, that no matter what original shell/liner I used, they all didn’t work great with my feet/ankles. Even the Thermoflex liner was not helping all to much (They packed out on me after riding a couple of hours). Ever since I use foam injected liners (Strolz), I can pretty much use any boot shell there is.

I think, it’s more the liner/insole combination (with some good boot fitting skills, if needed) what makes all shells out there work… at that point it’s back to preference again, what shell design/mechanism delivers what power transformation/flex pattern…

  7. Mike,

I have to apologize!!! I just got home and checked and I don't have that exact piece. I only have 4 of the cant adjuster pieces. I am wondering now what happened to the either pieces. Because I knew that I have 4 pieces, I thought it's 2 of each, but unfortunately not. I am not sure what to say, but I am really sorry that I got your hopes up. Hopefully you are not mad.
