  2. All, I just got Catek OS1 and tried to put it on. But the Kingpin? (Center big pin) is way bigger than my tool. What's the size of the pin? and any tips on tool selection? Thanks.
  3. Deeluxe boots was mondo 29.5. Then, I am not interested. Thanks.

  5. www.extremecarving.com's classified has plenty of the F2 Silberpfeil for sale mostly in Europe. Check it out.
  6. Blax (Pre Head Stratos) or Head Stratos has roomier toe box than Raichle. It's hard to find those in US.
  7. I'd just been Whitetail Sunday and rode with Rich from Germantown. I will travel to West coast for this weekend and next week. So, probably i will be going after 2/15. I will post on MAC list when I go up.
  8. Hi, From my past experience with softboot (very stiff from DNR step-in, in/outside of mid-section) with flexible tongues, I set it 60/50 to ride. I realized the set up is not for carving with softboots after I broke my front ankle. If it was hardboots, board would be broken. Took me out 2 seasons and still little sore after 18 holes of golf. :( When you push your weight forward to initiate a turn, and if nose dive happens, even softboots with tongue is not strong enough to resist your weight going over on nose of the board. I didn't know there is 3 straps bindings but if you do want to set it high angles, please use 3 straps. If it is EC style carving that you are pursuing, you don't need to set them at those angles. Now I am riding 45/35 on the same boots but moving my weight continuous so that it won't happen again with.. extreme carefully.. not fun :( My suggestion would be 30/20 with cants/lifts (if options are available) to turn easier.
  9. Justin A. If OP is not interesed, I am. Could u post or send me some photos? Thanks.
  10. bsmith, If the 168 doesn't work for you, I'm interested. Let me know.
  11. Wolf/Bonedout - Thanks but I am looking for newer models like AF600/700, Head Stratos, Deeluxe 325 or so.
  12. Time is running out here.. almost entering February already! I need a size 28-28.5 boots. If you have one to sell, let me know.
  13. Well. Since the binding has FIN heels for Step-in and matching boots, isn't it better to be auctioned together and the Prior ATV alone? Just my thoughts.
  14. I haven't ridden Rosi's One Mag but had ridden Oxygen Supercross before. Oxygen Supercross was very light and edges were holding very well compared to other BX board that I was searching on at that time 2002-ish. Rosi's BX/All Mountain boards were somewhat too stiff for the terrain park or do some other stuff on slopes. It was more for BX specified type. If you haven't narrowed down only for those two, check Atomic's Dreamraider model. It is light & stiff but not too stiff and Has super-razor edges. No wonder Shawn Palmer had won so many times with Dreamraider on BX. I own 05 model and have ridden on Whitetail few times, it was made for our area for sure.
  15. wow.. I visited Whitetail 3 times this season on weekend. and probably it is the closest slope from me. I will keep my eyes open next time. Oh. I will definitely join the mailing list. Thanks!
  16. Hi BOL members, My name is Pius, from N. Virginia where limited carving mountains are available. I started to snowboard from 93 and worked at Bretton Wood resort in NH from 97-01 as a snowboard instructor. I was introduced to alpine boarding on 96 with Oxygen F-57 that my friend from Czech gave me. Although it was very limited for my height (6' 2") and weight (190 lbs), I enjoyed every inch of the board. Because I was so enjoying carving, I wore hardboots and taught freestyle beginners with the board for most days so that I can carve for short break from instructing. :) Anyway, years past without boarding, I ended up in Northern Virginia. Since the region had some good snow last December, I went to few slopes in PA with current BX board with DNR carving soft boots & binding and...... I hooked in again for freecarving. I've been speculating 'Classified' to get newer gears, considering different snow condition around here, for few weeks and haven't found what I really want yet. I may have few more chance to slopes before this winter goes away but not with alpine setup. :( I see ECES or SES announcements in here and would like to visit one of those events, but not this year due to already scheduled plan for other things. I learned to ride and carve myself and think I know how to ride but i've always wanted to see how others ride. Well.. enough on my side. I will constantly check this forum and participate. Thank you all for having this great forum to inspire me back to carving~ Pius
