  1. I don't have problem with it, but I believe that I have read that it is a caused by a buildup of Lactic Acid in the leg muscles. Eating bananas during the day is supposed to help. If you contact Sportlegs.com they may be willing to send you a free sample. I got one but have never used it. Try a Google search for " thigh burn" and see what comes up. I love to lock my boots down, most of the time, and wouldn't want to give that up. Bricky
  2. trikerdad, It is just a piece of crushed stone. You probably got it while Rockboarding. I have sharp tools and could have taken it out for a lot less than your Doctor charged. Bricky
  3. Carvers, Snow Conditions were "Epic" today. 2-3" of Carveable Snow. No ice. Sunny all day. Tomorrow looks just as good. More Carvers planning to attend. Bricky.
  4. Scotty Pumpkins & GtheGardner. Come to join the Windham Carvefest. We had a great time today, Saturday. Snow conditons were excellent. Bricky
  5. I have started a Ticket Signup List, revised the Attendance List, "Get Dialed In" signups and I suggested providing emergency contact info. 13 more ticket signups needed. Do all of you Carvers LIKE to pay FULL price ? Bricky
  6. Scorpio, go on TrailwayNY.com and check the schedule. The bus stop is close to the Mountain, at the Exxon Station, at most a half mile away. Maybe we could pick you up, since the walk is uphill or there will always be people stopping at the Exxon on their way to the Mountain. Call me at 732-604-0594, if you wish. Bricky.
  7. I revised the attendance list and mentioned a group photo and other scheduling info. Scorpio, have you investigated taking a bus? Trailways stops in Windham. Bricky
  8. See original post for update. Bricky
  9. Some new info has been added to the original post. Please note the name change to "CARVERS GONE WILD" See: Lessons & Instruction-especially, "Get Dialed In" Attendance list revisions Apres' Board RSN network Thanks. Bricky
  10. Tripine, I'm very disappointed at your negativism and lack of respect. Your objective is what ? To ruin someone else's fun? To quash my event? Upon reading your post, I assumed you were from a big mountain somewhere, disrespecting those of us who prefer not to drive 6 hours twice a weekend to get to a big mountain. Low and behold, I checked your member profile at Bomber and you are from HUNTER MOUNTAIN, 10 miles from Windham!!!. Unfortunatley, you don't have the guts to put all the information about yourself in your profile, so you are chicken to communicate as yourself. I'd love to ride with you - at Hunter. But I am a gentleman, and if you come to one day of the Windham Carvefest, I'll buy your ticket! Why don't you give me a call? My phone number is 732-604-0594. I enjoy carving there enormously. Many people feel the mountains are nearly equal as far as enjoyment. I know one excellent carver who carves both. Last year, Steve Prue, Ronski, Maciek, BobbyBuggs, Mike B. and one other guy attended. Why don't you host a Hunter Carve Session and do something FOR Carvers? Bricky.

Bring your camera VIDEO. Kevin Burke, (pawblo.com)who did much of the Video at 2002 ECES at Stratton may be able to make it. I suggested Friday and Saturday. They will consider airing some video or .JPEG stills on Saturday, if we get them to them by Friday. their email for stills is spotsrsn12@adelphia.net. They have agreed to look at our video and if it is good enough, they will consider airing some of it!!! I also am looking for volunteers with or without cameras to record all the fun. Several of you have offered to bring video cameras. TonyZ suggests the Solitude area and Jackson Gore area and Upper Chief for carving photography spots . EVERY MORNING: At the Lift at the Base Lodge, or earlier in the cafeteria for breakfast. Lifts open at 8 am on the weekends, 9 am weekdays. Then let the degrooming begin! MEDICAL EMERGENCY: Although you won't be injured carving, you might be hit by a downed airplane or helicopter or attacked by a Bear, Elk or the Easter Bunny so I would suggest providing Emergency Medical Contact Info to me and a couple of other carvers. 19. Mike, I can't make it, but please contact me next time you can make it up. I'm there most weekends and a few other days. They're making lots of snow. Let's plan the 2nd annual "Windham Carvefest". Had Brick
  20. Patmoore, can you please post the info about the Mt. Southington contact info ? Thanks.
  21. This is not OT. You gotta see the June/July 2004 issue of SKI Magazine. On page 102 there is an article about the #1 ranked pro slalom waterskier Jamie Beauchesne. There is a nice picture of him on a toeside carve, on one ski of course. He says he snow skis 120 days a year. Here is some of the dialog: "New- school slalom watersking technique parallels the technique of alpine ski racing" "In this photo, I'm at the point in the turn that most simulates snowskiing. I've got equal pressure on both feet, and I have a quiet upper body. My eyes are looking down the slalom course, not across it. My hips and knees are angulating. I patiently finish the turn by tipping the ski on edge allowing it to carve underneath me" "Everything a snow skier thinks about is what I try to do while waterskiing" [sure, like, which ski is the downhill ski? Oops, I'm only one ski this season!! Or, Oh ****!, where did my other ski go?] To stay "ski-tough" practice tipping your waterski on edge and allowing your legs to move side to side underneath your quiet upper body. Cut across the wake of your boat and imagine your legs swinging like a pendulum underneath you. Try to feel your edges. [To practice on waterskis to snow ski better, try using two waterskis, not one!!] If he thinks he performs better on a slalom waterski by training on two skis in the winter, just think how much better he would perform by training on an Alpine Snowboard.!!! I plan to write a "letter to the editor" of SKI Magazine and think you should, too. liftlines@skimag.com You must include your full name, address and daytime phone #. Does anybody know this guy and where he snow skis? We need to turn him onto Alpine Snowboarding. Had Brick P.S. Why is waterskiing one word and snow skiing two words?
  22. I heard on the radio that Mountain Creek will reopen Wednesday on the Vernon side. I'll be at Windham on Wednesday and the weekend and maybe Thursday and Friday too. Please call me on FRS channel 2 - 7 and we can carve together. Had Brick

    ECES Roomies

I'll be there Thurs, Fri., and Sat. nights. Does anyone need a roommate? Thanks, Had Brick
  24. It just snowed a little and they are making snow. The forecast is for some snow and then on Saturday, a mix. Saturday looks like the big day. Several carvers we already plannng to go to Hunter Mountain on Friday (8 miles East of Windham), so let's change the schedule to say Friday is at Hunter and Saturday and Sunday are at Windham. Lifts open at 8am, so let's meet at the Quad at 8am. Hope to see you there !! Had Brick
