Covid has derailed this post and has had a profound effect on peoples desire to voice their opinion. Here's mine since animals caused covid we must get rid of all animals. Also since my post title has now proved to be a total lie just let the tread drift .

With the industry shut down either quality or quantity would work for me. Numbers of Covid still growing here and unless 14 days post Jan 1st. numbers don't decline i doubt it will reopen. I would like to thank all the anti vax anti mask shit heads for allowing the world to document just how stupid humans are.

Those boards must be crying wax when you line them up for their mug shots against that white door. Their only crime was looking too pretty. Hope the sale goes well. Looks like no need for new boards here as covid is now in charge . Stay Safe !

Speed is your friend when learning to Skwal but can kill you pretty quickly when it gets out of hand. Unlike skiing where you can hop on the other leg if things get dicey on a snowboard you generally only have plan "A" so you had better make sure it's a good one !!!

Steady upward growth of Covid since Christmas in Canada. British PM is hoping to curb their latest increase by middle of Feb. Not looking great for a return to the slopes here in two weeks. I don't think Christmas turkey was responsible for the latest outbreak the blame is on the two legged red meat humanoids and their bad behavior.

I've got a real nice polar fleece 2 layer with metal nose profiler and adhere to all covid 19 proto-calls but alas all resorts are closed till the 22nd of Jan. I'm not holding my breath on that happening as it appears everyone everywhere is behaving badly. That is something we should all learn from this pandemic. Don't rely on others for your own safety. And to top it off I've got two sled ready to go and no snow forecast for the next week.

Bevel the edge of the top sheet exposing more of the sidewall material . Need to use a pretty fine file on final pass to create a smooth finish. Tail delam usually results from poor handling of your board don't store it on damp surfaces on the tail , don't bang in on the ground to remove snow. I found that a good quality viynal electrical tape applied to a board cleaned first with alcohol or ether gives very resilient protection. When applying tape don't stretch it or touch the surfaces with your fingers. Warm the board over a heat source afterwards to help with adhesion. In my opinion duct tape should only be used on something you intend to throw away after you have used it. You will spend the rest of your life trying to clean it off. Leash on the boot you don't remove from bindings when riding chair. Unless you ride where they allow you to stay clipped in and if that is the case consider yourself extremely privileged.

Shred's first lesson over the phone to me years back was toe and heel lift. And pot is now legal in Ontario.

You are one of few believers very happy for you. Keep those edges sharp and that ice will carve like corduroy.

Maybe not the right comparison but Gov't got caught with their pants down on the mask thing. The first response was to ensure front line workers had mask so recommending everyone wear one would have resulted in shortages when and where they were needed most. Just in time delivery was a great idea for bean counters and bankers but we see now how supply chains work in the real world when everyone is after the same thing at the same time. This mask discussion isn't really the issue it's the fact that not requiring people to isolate when returning to their home country was what caused explosive spread. Governments have pandemic plans but reading them after the fact doesn't stop the spread.

Going to MCC @ Turner will cure you . Getting lower helped me but dealing with all the mental inputs was tough to deal with. Getting comfortable was the main one. After the third day the runs weren't as intimidating. Not feeling like you were going to fall off the globe was a big help. It didn't look pretty but knowing i could get the tail around helped build confidence. Practice lower down the run so your not dealing with the fear factor. You have to put everything into practice faster on a steeper run that's where the 10,000 hour thing comes in to play.

Carpet carving isn't riding the roof of your friends van for fun. It has a purpose and has a very good return on investment.

Ok the contra news from my bump is based on a monster to a contra comparison. Switching to a new board has a learning curve and one day didn't do it. So order the new board now. Who doesn't like a new board ? Bruce can't hit the slopes either till the province opens again in about 27 days. All the snow so far is man made on beginner runs. Crappy snow on crappy slopes for a crappy end to a crappy year and I know the new year is going to be awesome after all i have this year to compare it to. Actually the start was pretty good" snow wise " 6th day rained out. Happy New Year all !

Opened Saturday closes Friday. After huge expense to open it only took three day before Gov't order it closed for 28 days to curb the increasing trend in cases. Shut down Dec 25th for 28 days. Three days on the hill for 4hr time slot just enough to let my body know i can still have a few sore spots after thinking i was going to be invincible this year. Hoping for better in 2020. I'd move onto plan "B" but there isn't even snow for the snowmobiles.
Covid #'s trending down in Canada
