I heard you can damage a helmet if you look at it cross-eyed. Everyone who wears a helmet also engages in high-risk behavior like unprotected sex with ugly women. Without helmets, those same people would have stayed home reading the bible. It's a proven fact.

No, I'm not Chad but I have ridden with him. He was making some mighty nice turns on snow that no one else would touch Sat. The Madd BX boards were definitely nice. Pretty interesting to ride them since they're quite different from any other board out there. I would have liked to have taken the shiny freeride board for a spin, but was unable to due to my own bad planning. The Madd reps on Sat were very nice and quite helpful. Big thumbs up to Steve and Madd Mike.

Sorry, I'll remember to drink more koolaid next time. I have a bunch of factually correct but no doubt unpopular things to say, but I think all parties know how well that would go over. Consider my tongue bitten.

Look on the bright side - she didn't get any permanent damage and will probably now start riding with a helmet.

Confucius say "Man who lay down snowboard will not have snowboard blown over." I suppose that's enough wise-assery for one thread. Seriously, making this a monday through friday event without any warning made it a waste of time for anyone who wasn't there during the week.

While I appreciate the creative energy required to try and pass it off under the guise of "safety," that doesn't really do much to appease anyone who would have otherwise been a paying customer. Will there be any other opportunities to demo equipment this season? If so, will there actually be gear there, or will everyone be turned away because of "security," "terrorism," or some other convenient umbrella?

The problem was not with the edges but with your riding. You weren't finishing your turns cleanly, so the board was sliding sideways. If you put an edge down while the board is moving sideways, it's going to catch even if it's dull.

I stop by the places where the demos were supposed to be, but only Madd was there. The Madd guys were great and it was nice to demo their boards. I got to demo a couple of their softboot setups and they rode "like buttah, only bettah." Since I won't buy a product I haven't ridden, I guess this was quite the money-saving opportunity.

Website says April 23 this year, but with more weather like this weekend I'm sure the season will be shortened.

Hey guys, NBC may have only shown 2 runs of the women's PGS and 3 of the men's, but look on the bright side: we did get 20 minutes of coverage of the women's figure skating warmup.

36/24/36C and I like long walks on the beach. I'm 140-150lbs.

I have a 153 SL and it's fantastic. It's zippy and poppy and snappy and a real joy to ride. It doesn't have a whole lot of edge, so going Ludicrous Speed isn't too effective, but you don't need to be going fast on it to have a lot of fun.

My training consists of large doses of steroids, caffeine, and some PCP to dull the pain. -
Dave, That's Anna and she's riding softies there. She's a CVA coach and also teaches with Perfect Turn. It's a shame no one can carve on softies though. It must have taken a lot of work to fake that pic ;)

I've heard that one of the instructors at Sugarloaf brings his hardboot setup through the park and even hit the rails with it.
