  1. Moster Carver: You need to let the 197 open up a bit, and then it turns (almost) on a dime (the swallowtail really does help). The first time I was on mine I was reminded or our standard moto: speed is your friend. (And it seems to me that stance position, more so on the Burner than other boards (IMHO), really affects performance/turniness; I'm set back more so that my other boards, which I generally ride wide/centered.)
  2. Again, not to hijack this post, but Shane, please do explan... Thanks.
  3. 2nd in line for the Kessler. Please ping me if it is available (colintkemp@yahoo.com). Thanks.
  4. Oh how beautiful the Cyborg was before explosion... :( Kurt, you have a fair point, so correction: Tara would kill me...
  5. My word, Kurt, that camber almost looks like a Virus... My Volant would kill me if I tried to buy this.
  6. Frank, that's just sick. Sweet ride. I would get killed if I bought another Burner, though...
  7. Very interested. Please email me pics at colintkemp@yahoo.com.
  8. If you mean Big Canuk, then nope, I bought the blue one. He kept the pink one, I believe. I rode mine yesterday for 3 hours then grabbed my VIRUS... What a day.
  9. So, yesterday I rode the 197 Burner that I bought from Big Canuk for the first time. Sick, burley ride. Grab this one from Frank before it is too late.
  10. Does the guitar hold an edge on steep groomers or what???
  11. OMG, that photo... That is reminiscent of TVR's hard core board porn photo... davekempmeister: I'm only a Mondo 28, but even then my stance is 75 and 75. Good to see another T. Kemp here.
  12. Actually, that's were mine now is because the FC is the go-to stick. I would, however, buy another 173 in good condition in a minute. Wonderful board, IMHO.
  13. My 173 is bent just a bit. But, it is still a fun ride.
  14. Ray, The Cyborg just arrived! It is standing here, starring at me in my office... Thank you for sending it so quickly (and your packaging job was bomber). Much appreciated. See you in Aspen... Best regards, Colin
  15. Tex, that was actually my first thought too.
  16. Good things come to those who wait!
  17. Kurt, The Burner arrived, beautiful as ever! Thank you for shipping it so quickly and safely. Great working with you. Ok, someone please buy the Scott and the Burton so I won't; I've already bought three boards this year and my girlfriend is already about to kill me... Colin
  18. Sweet! I'll take 'em. Please ping me at colintkemp@yahoo.com. I'm in SF, Cal., by the way. Thank you, Colin
  19. Are the liners shown with the boots (i.e., not the unmolded 23s in the other photo) a 24 and do they come with the boots? I'm getting my GF into plating and she needs boots. I think a 23 is too small for her. So, I would be interested in the boots w/ a 24 liner. Thanks, Colin
  20. I'm there one or two days in the middle of the week. This will be my first SES. I'm looking forward to it. Colin
  21. What's the SCR on the Burton Speed? (I was too incompetent to find it on the web, but it looks like 12.5 or 13 if I had to guess.) Thanks.
  22. Email re Oxygen 149 sent. Thanks, Colin
  23. I'm curious about the plates. But am I correct you have two sets of Cateks; that is, one set of used and one set of new? Are both step-ins?
