  1. I already had a pair of footbeds and had the fitter put them in when we did the thermos.
  2. Pretty much the same for me! I was hooked.
  3. Nothing special here. My front and rear are both in the low 60 degrees.

    Ski boots

I rode for 4 years in ski boots before getting some snowboard boots last year. Much better feel with the snowboard boots. Now I am kicking my own ass for not getting snowboard boots sooner. BTW, I never had any problems in ski boots.
  5. I started back in 98 on a Rossignol Throttle with some real crappy bindings and ski boots. The first day absolutely sucked. I got thrown down from a heelside and smacked the back of my head that I stopped and walked the rest of the way down the hill, got in my car and went straight to a ski shop and bought a helmet. After about 3-4 days I was skidding turns and after 15 days I bought my Trench diggers and was finally able to link carves nicely. That season I rode about 90 days. I haven't ridden that many days total since then. I think that if you have the right equipment, it makes it a lot easier to learn.
  6. If I can wax the board tomorrow and the rates are not that bad, I may be able to swing it.
  7. So what you are saying is that the earlier that we register the better? I know that I will only be able to ride Monday thru Wednesday right now, but that may change. Should I put in for those days now, or wait till I see of I can get more days off?
  8. I have only seen 1 person able to do the 180 and land into carve and ride iy out. Will Garrow. I have also seen some one else from the Whiteface crew attempt it.
  9. I only have 2 boards, but find myself only riding one of them exclusively for the last 2 seasons.
  10. Whiteface has some real great steeps. It used to have a small but intense local carving scene. There is also tons of off mountain activities in Lake Placid.
  11. Thanks Brother! A friend made that for me on a motorcycle forum. I actually own a BBQ joint and the Forman grill cracks me up.
  12. I love the Woodford Reserve. Basil Haydens is also real nice. Yesterday when I started this thread I was sipping on a new OUTSTANDING discovery. 15 year old Old Rip VanWinkle. 107 proof and smooth. I think it is nicer than the Bookers.
  13. So what do you like to drink? I like Bourbon when I am having alcohol. After a day of snowboarding, a nice Magic Hat is excellent.
  14. Stan, I think your math is a little bit off. 177 kilometers/hr is 109 mph. 73 mph is 117 kilometers per hour.
  15. I've been riding a 173 Volant GS primarily the last 2 seasons.
  16. I'd be happy if there was a way to get back to the forum without going all the way back to the top when you are done reading a thread. Hitting the back button usually doesn't refresh the page. This will be useful when there are a couple of different sub-forums here and when there are more people posting and hanging out here to BS.
  17. Looks good in here Fin. I think that the forums will begin to really take off now that they are more up to speed with all the others out there. Now I got to find a non motorcycle picture of me to use for an avatar.
