Super Sweet Tele-board??? on ebay. And you thought you had questions about what you are riding now!!

I have about 20 days on my POC Lobes and love them. I usually hardly ever wore goggles because of restricted lateral vision from goggles.

It was not johnasmo or I. That canyon is a tricky place. Seems like a yearly occurrence someone gets run over back there.
Sounds like 2 confirmed dead and 2 still possibly missing...
Condolences to the families and friends of those lost today.

The same person is also selling a WCR175 at a really good price!!

I rode Snow King yesterday and had a great time. The snow was perfectly groomed and stayed in great carving condition all day. I had never ridden there and it was quite fun. The snow on the upper slopes was a little hard and chunky.
I do not think any of the lifties or patrollers had seen a carver before. Seemed like back in the day..."What is that thing?" "Monoski?"
Fun times!

Yes it was a nice hit!! I will give it lots of exercise. The same seller had a Prior 176 POW-STIX that had a narrower than stock 23 cm waist for hard boots.

Nils, any luck finding the link to the french site re-releasing the movies?

Thanks for the great turns on Sunday! You shared some very sweet lines with me!
For those of you that do not know...SV had 2+feet of new snow over the weekend! It was amazing!!
Thanks Again CarveDog!

I will be up this weekend. It would be great to get a tour or ride with a fellow carver.
Thanks

I am planning on heading over to Sun Valley the weekend of Jan 5-6 and was wondering how the carving is? I have never been there and am curious what the best carving runs are?
If you have any Sun Valley tips lets hear them.
Thanks!

Yep that was today. It was pretty busy there and the carving was not that great. Not a bad powder day though. Maybe next time...

I will be riding Kelly Canyon near Idaho Falls everyday till the New Year. Pretty fun carving hill. Not a lot of Vert but some of the most fun carving runs I have ever ridden. Groomed gullies and lots of rollers and wavy terain. Very fun carving!

Turner will NOT be opening today but will be open on Saturday the 21. Should be really good. Fresh snow has been stacking up all week with over 12 new at the summit.
-
Moonlight Basin is the resort next to Big Sky. I have head it is pretty nice. It is a very new area. $51 a day.
-
Rumor around town is that Turner Mtn is opening Friday!! www.skiturner.com
Closest thing to Cat/Heliskiing there is. Not great for groomed carving but amazing fall lines, long runs with great vertical!

Does anyone have any feed back on the Nidecker Proto?

The Smith Sensor Mirror are great for Fog and flat/low-light conditions at least at Big Fish.

They are a great boost at a great price. They travel pretty well in a pocket and don't hurt if you land on them. Moist enough to eat without water.
2-3 will get ya through a full day or carving.

I would guess I have an oval head...not severely oval but generally oval.
The POC fits me very well.
-
I have about 6 days in my new POC. It is light, quiet, good peripheral vision and fits well. As far as what it compares to... I could only compare it to my Giro Ravine or Giro Mad Max. The sizes run true. Use a good soft tape measure but do not pull it super tight around the thickest part of your head.
I really like the helmet and would recommend one if it fits well. Price is a little steep but "if you have a $10 head wear a $10 helmet."

The one by chair 2 next to Ed's run. Not the basin one.
Carve-a-licious

John and I rode Saturday mostly on the new high speed chair two. The carving was great on Eds and Hellroaring. The new lift can make for some very fast loops. John rode his new Donnek Vlad and rode it very very well.
John is RAD on his BAD VLAD.
He is GLAD to be VLAD's new DAD.
Dont be mean to VLAD or its new DAD will get MAD.
Enough of the Silly Suess stuff but is seemed funny at the time on the lift.
Big Mountain Expression Session!?!?!?!?

It is about time you get over here. You are merely 30 degrees from being a carving snowboarder. I am glad you did not decide to be MONOMAN!!
