    Sunapee.

I'll be up today, just not for first chair.
  2. Yep, the above would work. Clean up with isopropyl before hand, and I'd color over the top rather than in the bonding area. Also, by running the tape around, the meaning is to leave it standing up so that you have a form to pour into.
  3. I was there till around noon today, great time. I'll be there again tomorrow, can't go home yet with these conditions!
  4. Great info, and much better than the usual anecdotal. Thanks!
  5. I was out today, saw one other carver, blue jacket. Didn't connect with them. I'll be back in the AM. Conditions were good, but with upper standard closed, i wound up just riding the lower half of the mountain.
  6. Hope to run into you. I'll be there in a grey spider jacket,, black pants, grey donek axis.
  7. Awesome. I think I'll be there thurs-sat
  8. Did they get hit with this freezing rain nonsense or are they good to go? Considering a few days up there, probably thurs thru sat or similar.
  9. Subies are always a solid choice. I've only owned front wheel drive, and always put out the money for good snow tires. It's seen me drive past spun out 4x4s plenty of times. Blizzak or x-ice. Don't go for the higher performance ones, they're nice on dry roads, but compromise on snow performance. Right now I'm driving a mazdaspeed3. Holds gear nicely. The regular hatch with ~120 less HP is probably still a little above your preferred budget, but it's got to be getting affordable enough. There was also a protege hatch. I probably wouldn't go for a jeep, for the longer drives. I just prefer to be lower, gas mileage aside. Toyota matrix is also an option. Pontiac vibe is the same car, if the American badge doesn't bother you :) Other ideas, v70, jetta wagon, a4/6 avant/ allroad
  10. Forgot a few. Fredmiranda also (photo) Slowtwitch, mostly when I'm wanting used wheels! Swaylocks, surfboard shaping Qajqusa, skin-on-frame kayaks
  11. Nice to run into you anyway, i also ran into one of stephs coworkers on the lift. Never did catch up with the unknown other hardbooters.

    Sunapee.

I'm heading up in the AM, hopefuly will be there around opening, will depend on when i fall asleep tonight. Anyone else?
  14. I'm also on coffeegeek. Also, seriously lusting for a HX machine and vario. Currently using a moderately modified cheap pump machine and zassenhaus grinder. Additonally, silverfishlongboarding for skate stuff, Bikeforums.net Two for my mazdaspeed3 Homebrewtalk.com for beer brewing And lurk badgerandblade.com for wetshaving info, ie double edge razor, soap, and brush. I don't tend to be too active in any number of them at a time. Great way to gain info, though.
  15. May be a bit late to ask, but where should I be looking for people tomorrow, if I'm able to drag myself out of bed? I'll be in a gray jacket, gray race helmet, black pants, gray axis172, and black deeluxe 325ts. I don't stand out much. Andrew
  16. I'd be interested in them! I have a f2 speed cross which I think might work well with them on the choppy days. Email inbound.
  17. I put new motor mounts in my car today, so I might be game for stratton monday. Need to get some miles on them & make sure everything is OK before I drive from RI.
  18. I'm out this week. Soon though.
  19. Uhmw plastic works well for slide pucks. I just made my own with tighter fitting work gloves. Stance depends on riding type for me. Slalom calls for higher angles. Freeriding is low angles. Speedboarding is higher angle in rear than front. You just need to ride, and will see what is comfortable for you. I've only ever given thought to slalom angles- toes and heels kill cones if they stick out. Oh, and go browse silverfishlongboarding.com for further research.
  20. If I can get some new motor mounts into my car by then, I might be game. Otherwise, next week.
  21. This depends on your definition of "all" You'd be hard pressed to do park, slalom, long distance pumping, technical sliding, carve/drifting, dancing, and speedboarding on one, two, or even 3 boards. This said, I ride one snowboard. I have quite a few self-made skateboard decks.
  22. Heard at the other end of the lift line (ie, unloading zone) A father, speaking to his son in my direction, loud enough for me to hear: Hey, it's the king of carve! ..this put quite a smile on my face, regardless of if it was from me running the liftline, or he just saw the style of board I ride & associated me with some of the better riders who frequent Sunapee.
  23. At 5'11'', 165 Lbs, and mondo 27, I own a (used) axis 172. It's since been renamed the axxess. Angles of 50 F,45R will fit fine for my hardboots, though I've adjusted to ~ 60 F/52R this season. I don't own any softboot gear, or I'd mock-mount it to see what kind of angles you'd be looking at to clear your toes & heels. If you wish to measure the softboot sole length I can break out a ruler and protractor Used gear is a great deal. You should be able to get some lightly used boots (with thermo-mold liner!), used board (probably 'glass construction), and used bindings (I ride snow-pro race LTD) for around or less than the cost of a new donek etc. Classifieds here are a good resource for doing this.
  24. Thanks for the offer. I have a set of t325s so I have a good set of boots, just seeking something lower volume through the ankle area, which is why I asked about the AFs or upz boots.
