  1. Are these thoughts really that eccentric? I was just trying to scale down a learning curve. Any input would be helpful.
  2. Has anyone mixed shocks in a pair? Ex. yellow front/prurple back etc. Do you fell they react independant of each other or are they a matched pair. Also wondering if anyone plays with bindings being offset from the board centerline. As always I realize the type of riding one does would affect these preferences or not, decisions.
  3. I'll be up there that weekend also. I thought it would be clear for maybe Saturday into Sunday mid-day? Last weekend was still fun until it turned into a hook-n-hurl session late Sunday.
  4. I'll be up again this Friday thru Monday.
  5. Friday thru Sunday, although it will probably be to hard to see anyone in the "snorkeling" conditions they predict.
  6. Regardless of the responsibility, any injury cost will eventually trickle down to the general public's pocket. The bicycle industry has initiated a mandatory helmet use for kid's under a certain age. If this is done on the mountain more kid's would accept the fact over time and it would be a standard item of equipment or style. Educating the young will remove the stigma for future generations. Helmets are not as geeky looking as they used to be and will be more widely accepted as they become more "fashionable". Helmets = common sense. Did anyone ever read the "Darwin Awards" books? Some excellent examples of common sense gone awry and why people need to be protected from themselves.
  7. I used the TD1 step in's on the OSIN-4807 swallowtails. I split three boards (die cut logo un the bottom happened to be shaped similar to the mounting plate). Soft snow was no problem but the wide waist width on hardpack was to much for the soft board. O-Sin warrantied two of these but it took over 2-months to receive them. I was thinking that the TD2 has a bigger foot print that would cure some of this problem. Also now that you guy's are showing me what carving really is I use real carve planks for hard pack.

Used 2x, purchased at SES2004, Intec heels, Deluxe liners. Promised to Pat Farrell (you out there Pat?). Haven't heard from him (maybe my e-mail is down). So $400 +shipping. Any interest?
  11. Bought and used 2X in 2004, deluxe liners, intec heels $400 +shipping. So new the label is still on the shell. I promised them to Pat Farrell (you out there Pat?) but I think my e-mails to him have failed. So still available, any interest?
  12. Pat I'm getting a failure report trying to send to your hot mail address. Give me your address so I can get a cost on shipping. My address is Gavin Seekamp @ 702 pearl Street, Redondo Beach, Calif. 90277 (for the rest of the internet world to see also). Phone # (310)540-9644. Then you could send a M.O. or cashiers check?
  13. And a good tip thanks. I'm finding that I like the more narrow waist width as I learn more about the carve. Putting up for salel an excellent condition Rt178. To wide and solid for me. I've got the season pass for Mammoth so hoping to be there often.
  14. How come you want to release such a prized piece? Are you under weight for the stiffness? Just curious, wanted to add to the pile.
  15. ... $115 total. Gavin
  16. .... to say that they were new in Feb04 (bought at SES), orange shell
  17. Mike, give me a shipping destination so i can guestimate the cost of shipping. Gavin
  18. I have a set that I bought brand new. Used 2x (intec heel included). The size 26 label is still on the shell. Just to stiff for my style. $400+shipping. Lower price if you don't want the Intec heels.
  19. I have a new one still in the wrapper for $100+shipping.
  20. I was wondering if there was a possibility of a neck injury with the rigid extended chin guard. I saw some skiers using an flexable tighter, to the face type of chin guard that mounted like some BMX helmets. I'm in the market for a full face also.
  21. From Portland eh? You guys do a lot of racing in the rain? I was a terrible wet rider. No skill just heart. The 2-strokes were a pain in the ass to tune. You can have it spot on and then cloud cover or something would move in and 10 minutes later your set up was trash. You have to admit though they never puked oil all over the track.
  22. I'm 5'6" and ride a monster. I cut the foam seat out from underneath. You can take it to an auto upholsterer and pay maybe $60-$100. I just stretched the origional cover back over the cut out front section. Buy cutting the foam from underneath you retain the origional top contour of the saddle.
  23. The sv650 shots were great. That would be a cool street bike. Or maybe keep it on the track and buy up the now usless old Honda Hawks to use as street legal rat runners.
