  1. One of our fellow OESers, Randy T, not only rides hard, he works hard to help kids with cancer. What a guy! Read more here, help keep his post on top, give the guy a pat on the back, and if you can spare even a few bucks - donate to a good cause. Get after it, Randy! Can't wait to see everyone soon!
  2. Can you go light on the icing on mine, sweetie?
  3. Cool! Can't wait to see my buddies from the last couple of years and meet some new folks. Rebecca
  4. Are any of the ladies interested in some barely used (3 days?) 23.5 mondo (size 6) Salomon Optimas? For anyone who has tried these in the past, the fit is a bit wider. Not good for my super narrow heels, but could be great for someone with normal feet. $125 picked up at OES. I can't wait to see you guys again!
  5. Salomons tend to be narrower, especially in the heel, than the Burtons. A lot of people people just can't wear one brand, while the other fits perfectly. Both boots have their fans, but it seems like fit is the biggest issue. The Salomon F24s are another stiff boot that are supposed to have great board feel, but the liners aren't as plush as the others. You might look into the Deeluxe softies, too. They are serious boots with stiffening bars. The guys at hardbooter.com have one type (cheap), and Bola used to have some others and may still.... Either store could talk to you about the fit of those boots. One more thought - the guys on splitboard.com are always after stiff softboots. It could be worth a search over there.
  6. Hey Dan, Does this mean you're going to climb some volcanoes with me and Buell this spring? Rebecca
  7. Hey Jeff! Things are great here. I've been spending all my time on another Coiler metal (Flipper!), and thought I'd narrow the quiver. I've seen you ride, and I can safely say that the Prior is too soft for you. The Coiler, on the other hand... is pink. So you probably don't want that, right? You need to head west again! OES? r.
  8. Yes, it is that narrow. I just verified by hand measurement. I have really small feet and need a narrow board to keep my angles above 45 degrees. The stock board was 195 mm (19.5 cm).
  9. SOLD!**Check out my 170 Coiler Metal - another great board!** Prior Metal 177 - 180mm wide, softened flex in near perfect condition. Lexan plates included (+ extra long screws, if you have f2 bindings). The base has never been ground and has only extremely minor scratches, and the edges are perfect. The topsheet is very clean - only expected scuffs and binding marks. The metal topsheet has later generation additions of a protective coating on the top, and the edges of the topsheet are beveled to prevent chipping. Particulars Length: 177cm Width: 180mm Sidecut: 11.9m Taper: 4mm Base/Edge bevel: 1/3 Built in spring 2007 Ridden fewer than 10 partial days I weigh 135 lbs and I found this board to be very playful, easy to turn and forgiving. Its softened flex would make it a friendly bigger board for a lighter or less aggressive rider. The soft nose excels in firm snow, but it is too flexible for me on soft groomers (and I usually ride very soft groomers) I'm happy to send more or larger photos. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Buell's partner. We've bought and sold a lot of boards on BOL, but usually under his name. I'm the only person who has ridden this board, so I'm fielding all the comments this time. Thanks, Rebecca
  10. Hey there mercury, Funny! I'm from Florida, too (Tallahassee). I live and surf in Oregon now. Glad to see you found BOL. I'm sure someone around here can help you with an AM board. The Prior 4WD is a super fun, easy starter. Buell (145 lbs) and I both enjoyed the 169 we had. Keep an eye on Prior's Demo site. If you're planning on keeping to the groom, a softer flexing, wider "race" or EC style deck could be a good option, too. Just FYI - we should have a pair of excellent condition f2s for sale soon - drop me a PM if you're interested.... For boots, if you can find the page on mondo sizing on Bomber's site and figure out your boot size, that will help people who have some extra shells hanging around. As you may know, if you have low volume foot, you may have to size down a mondo point or so. If you can travel and are interested in hanging out with a really stoked and varied level bunch of carvers, check out OES at Mt Bachelor - more info in my sig. See you out there! We'll be carving tomorrow and Wednesday morning for sure - parking in the Hidden Lakes lot. Rebecca
  11. Hi there! I've already got a place to stay, but I'm stoked to know there's yet another girl coming. Lady carvers unite! On a gender-neutral note, there are some terrific folks coming up from the Reno area. Great crew there... Look forward to meeting you pretty soon, Rebecca (Oh and howdy to Baptiste, Randy T, Hagen, Tim and all of last year's OESers - can't wait to see you guys again) Photo from last year's OES:
  12. Too cute, scubaree! Hope you can bring the family to OES - your son and Mike T's daughter can put us all to shame. Hope we'll get a chance to meet you there. Rebecca
  13. Sweet! What a great day to have a mini-session! Great pictures, as always, Bryan. (Aside for Bryan - Ran into Kirk March and his dad, Rick at PM today. Both have fond memories of riding with you at Mt. June)
  14. Wow! It's a mess up there right now, hunh? Hope the roads clear and the snow piles up (or grooms out) ASAP. Good ol' PNW!
  15. Looking for a place to stay for OES (or anytime you're in Bend)? Our friend's 1BR cottage is is right on the river, very close to downtown: www.vrbo.com/210877. There's a fold out couch in the living room, if a couple of carvers are looking to share. It's pet friendly, too! Buell and I are sharing a bigger house with some other nice folks this year, but we'll miss this place.... Can't wait to see everybody in March! Rebecca

    RIP Brisket

Oh, Galen! We are so sorry to hear about little Brisket. Sounds like she was a wonderful little monster. Our condolences to you, the family and Dudley. Look forward to seeing everyone this winter. Rebecca & Buell
  17. Rock on! Have fun out there!
  18. Awesome news! The fresh air and non-hospital food must be pretty nice. Thanks for keeping everyone up to date! Hope it cools off for you soon, Rebecca & Buell
  19. Wow, Kimo. We haven't met, but Buell and I have heard great things about you. Many good vibes coming your way from Oregon. I hope this is one of those clouds that turns out to be mostly silver lining. Sounds like you're already on your way to a great new part of your life with Sherri - congratulations! If there's anything the Bomber crew can do, just put the word out. Rebecca & Buell
  20. Hope that means progress! (Do I get points for not making the obvious joke? Oh. Oops.) Unfortunately, I don't have the Tinklers with me this weekend - brought minimum gear - but Buell will be up your way in a couple of weeks to work on a project. He'll get them to you then. If Jim doesn't catch up with Doug, we might be able to chase your board down, too. Thanks for the update! Rebecca
  21. Sale pending on the Summit, Escape is still available.
  22. Glad you got some good final turns with great guys. "Unbreakable" sounds about right for you! Look forward to seeing you at next year's OES. Brett - keep carving it up for us. High five to Kevin - dark horse contender for Rookie of the Year.
  23. We have to get back to work, but it's good to know that you guys are out there tearing it up! Have a little extra fun for us, please. Hi to Raylin and Meggie-dog, Rebecca & Buell
  24. Last bump o' the season! Both boards are still available.
