  1. Good Times are coming, the gang is growing. Everyone is welcome to join us. I now have committed to ride Tuesday nights. George (crucible), haven't seen you for a while now since we met at Grouse at the early start of the season. You should join us riding at Cypress. cheers, ruwi
  2. George(Crucible), I started to have lower back pains when I moved from being a field engineer to office engineer sitting in the office 5 days/week until now. Just about the same age in the forties when I consulted a Russian Orthopedic Surgeon and his team of therapist when I was in Duabi many years ago. One of the exercises they gave me is the Cobra. It always works for me. Low impact for an old man like me(52 yrs old). You will notice a lot of kids watch TV in the same position is highly recomended than sitting in the couch. They also prescribed me a lumbar support (Gibaud from France) when I told them I'm moving to Canada for good. It's work like a women's girdle with metal inserts of 2 types (soft, medium). Sometimes I remove the inserts and use it at the office like today to make it comfy while seated. So at this age, I still board and play as much as I wanted to. regards, ruwi
  3. Right Blue B is another option. He might still have some used or new. I will see him this Sunday. We both teach on Sundays. I will ask him. ruwi
  4. Dude, I have a new one, never ridden, just fitted a TD2 bindings and stand on it in the carpet. Not much powder here in my local mountains, if there is one, I'm either at work or teaching SB on weekends. I'm willing to trade with a decent board used or new. My wife loves it as a wall decor:1luvu:. Ruwi
  5. My very first snowboard freeride Oxygen 154 was stolen from the rack while having a coffee break with my buddy 4 years ago at Hemlock Valley. They took only mine. I reported to resort security and asked me to fill in a report and very important if I knew my board's serial number so they can forward it to RCMP for record, my board was a goner. Do you keep track of your board's S.N. I don't. Now a days I lock my boards within a lockable ski rack. I can fit in 2 boards back to back. I won't recommend a combination lock with tiny wire cable. A nail cutter will do it. ruwi
  6. Steve, I have an older Blax Franz model 25.0 MP mens (maroon colour) but never used, still new. Only tried fitting in my feet but have pressure point on top of my left foot. I normally use 25.5 MP. I'm ready to get rid of it. ruwi

  8. Cool Boris, now I'm convinced to switch mountain from Gouse to Cypress. I'll try my best to get a teaching job there this coming season. I might need you for reference. How's that? ruwi
  9. I got a used pair of Raichle Flexion from E-bay early spring. I'll give it try next season. I've read a lot good things about this good old ski boots and highly recommended for carving boards in case you don't have a good pair of hardboots like me. cheers, ruwi
  10. Might be tough to get bindings for that. Other than that, Hooger Booger boards are an eye catcher in the slope and great learning board. Graphics are really awesome. I've been approached several times young and older generations asking about my Hooger Booger.
  11. George, 6 to 8 hours hike uphill in the snow?, I will die. The season is over for me. I did my last at Whistler last Saturday with my manager from Toronto. I'm very sure I saw Dave doing EC while I was riding the Big Red. That full face orange helmet is an icon. It shines from a distance. ruwi
  12. I did my last ride @Grouse last Saturday. Not many riders so I ended up riding from 0900 to 1530 Hrs, longer than I normally did before in crowded slope like Grouse. By 1300 Hrs, snow fell briefly and everone was happy even the tourists browsing around. Thanks to Boris, Dave and George (Crucible) for all the tips on my very first year of carving. Can't wait for the next season and improve my technique. I'll also try to teach Level 1 Boarding in any of the local mountains that will take me during weekends and holidays, paid or volunteer will do. BR/ruwi
  13. Awesome, I got my Grinder 168 in a Flea Market that closed downa year ago for CA$60. I'ts an eye popper, evertime I ride it, I always get approached asking what is that board, young and adult are all amazed how nice the graphics. One old guy even bent down to scrape off the snow on my top sheet just to see the Hooger Booger emblem. Cool board. I also got one Swallowtail Regis Rolland SWA 200(200 cm). I convinced my wife to buy this from a used sports store on one condition, she like to hang it on the wall. Haven't ridden it yet, too long but I'll give it a try one day. Anyone know about this board? Need some info. Thanks, ruwi
  14. I had a blast, I was so glad I joined you guys. Funny that everyone lost each other's company but hey everybody was happy. Harmony stalled on me, sorry guys to keep you(especially Kevin) waiting, eventually Boris told me it completely stopped, we met later by the cat trail and rode to mid station. The crowd was too much, had lunch at Roundhouse, Kevin later joined and did few more runs at the Emerald. As usual those surprising comments from audience, What those boards? We ended up educating them what is it all about. BR/ruwi
  15. Boris, Thanks for the invitaion, I will come with my 15 yr old son, He is a skier and will try to duped him into carving. I also invited Dave Redworth my office mate to come and have shown interest but will check with his work schedules and will cfm with me and will carpool together, otherwise me and my son will come. By the way will there be a showcase of hardboots a well, Dave is still looking for hardboots but will bring his old pair of ski boots in case. Also hope you don't mind beginners like us. I have been riding at Grouse mostly in the early hours of the morning and most of the time riding alone. I hate the long lift line ups. By 1100 hrs, it really bad, that time I'm on my way out. Ruwi
  16. Boris, Thanks for the tip. My first day and first carving day was too much on my legs, it hurts so much when we met at Panorama. I have to get fit. I will continue to ride when grouse opens since i have a pass and hope to ride with you when I'm in a better shape at cypress. ruwi
  17. That's great. I also do niteboarding @Grouse from time to time especially after a stressfull day @work. ruwi
  18. I just bought a ski card @Cypress, too bad I also have a season pass @Grouse. I will continue to ride my freeride at Grouse and start learning to carve @Cypress. Since I'm a rookie on carving you'll find me in the easy runs for sure. I'ts easy to recognize me with Grinder 168 like Boris'. SE Asian descent(Filipino). CU guys, ruwi
