skatha
Due to injury, namely my husband's leg, we had to cancel our Tahoe trip in Jan. I was plotting a summer trip thru CO for very early July, as in I'll be in Grand Lake for the fireworks 7/4 and leaving the next day for Salida, with possibly a half day at A-basin if it's worth it. I ride the blues, will anything be worth stopping for at that time?
fin
Skatha, IF the Basin is still going by then it will be pretty boney and just top lifts only. They have a ton of snow right now but several hot weeks in May and it is over. You'll just have to guage it as you get closer. Sorry, just hard to quess the weather and conditions that far out

tex1230
skatha, you might want to consider Mammoth mountain - I've ridden there several 4th of July weekends in the past...and with the SICK amounts of snow they're getting they should be all set into the summer. TrenchDigger
The conditions in July at the Basin usually are not condusive to carving unless they got alot of late season snow. I would bring your soft and hard set ups as always. It tends to be hard in the morning and too soft in the afternoon just like most late spring early summer conditions are but it would be riding in July which is always a bonus.
