  1. If I could go anywhere it would be Whistler. Huge mountain with endless variety. That was the best riding I have ever had. If you want to go to Colorado I will put in my vote for Crested Butte. It is out of the way and as long as you go off peak season, no crowds. This is where I learned to ride, the long wide open bowls make carving a dream. There are steeps or mellow rolling runs, the whole mountain is perfect for carving except for the North Face which is perfect for your other board! Carving is very popular there and you wouldn't be the only one either...
  2. My wife and I have been watching the Da Ali G show for years now. I was in Mammoth 3 winters ago and HBO was doing some sort of promo for the show in the parking lot at the main lodge. It was 30 degrees outside and Ali G (whom I had know idea who he was) had a pimped out limo with some turn tables in the trunk and was "rapping", kind of, saying all kinds of crazy stuff. He had 5 topless girls in G strings shaking there booties! Right in the parking lot at Mammoth. IT WAS INSANE! My buddy and I had our eyes popping out of our heads and jaws on the floor in disbelief at what we were witnessing. We watched for about five minutes then left for some weird reason, I have no idea how long they let it go on. Borat the movie is really funny, there were a few times I was laughing really really hard. Go see it. And don't be a stick in the mud. I only saw 1 couple leave, they were older, 50's probably. "She looks like she has tight anus of 7 year old boy" HAHHAAHAHAHAHAa
  3. They were the ultimate 80's Metal band! However, they did produce quite a few albums in the 90's too. They just released their lastest album a few months ago. There new CD is absolutley (IMO) their best one yet! Remeniscent of their early stuff like Seasons in the Abyss and Reign in Blood, especially now that Dave Lambardo is back behind the drum set. This album has a newer sound to it so it is a little more current, as far as that genre goes. There is a song, track #5 called Jihad. It talks about the attacks on the World Trade Center and the relation of the Muslim faith to the mind set of the "Martyrs." At the end of the song there is a spoken word monologue with excerpts taken from the actual final instructions left for the suicide pilots by Osama bin Laden. Here is a sample of one of the verses, and the spoken word at the end. Make your own judegments. War of holy principles I'm seeking God's helping your destruction Slit the throat of heathen man And let his blood dilute the water Bury your dead! [spoken:] Be optomistic, happy, and calm Show no fear or anxiety Smile at the face of God And your reward will be eternity Holy warriors Your patience will be justified Everything is for Him You must not comfort the animal before you kill it Strike as champions at the heart of the non-believers Strike above the neck and at all extremities For this is a point of no return for Almighty God God will give victory to his faithful servants When you reach ground zero you will have killed the enemy The Great Satan!
  4. These boots are sold just awaiting payment. Thanks Matt, TrenchDigger
  5. I might be interested in a trade! How old are those boots? Are they in good condition? Mine are brand f'n new dude, I have had a bunch of people trying to lowball me on these, trades I will consider, $250 for a $500 boot I will not. I can list these on ebay and get what I want for them, I just thought I would offer to the patrons of Bomber first. To answer the other posters question about what size street shoes I wear, 10.5-11 depending on the maker. I have two seriously different sized feet too. TrenchDigger
  6. If there is anyone who knows they wear a size 28 MONDO and you are interested in buying these practically new boots, let me know. Thanks, TrenchDigger
  7. I followed the Bomber directions too and ordered the wrong size. My foot measured 28cm almost exactly. I followed the Thermo liner directions to the letter. I was never so uncomfortable in my life for those two hours. If you do order a 26 with a size 9.5-10 foot you will probably be posting your used once boots on here too..... or maybe not. I certainly won't take that chance again. TrenchDigger
  8. I have two really different sized feet, that is part of my problem buying boots and shoes. I wear an 11 on my left and a 10 on my right. The right boot fits pretty good but my left foot was miserable. I thought that the Thermo liners would compensate for the size difference but it just wasn't enough. I will go with the 29's for sure. I would rather have my right foot a little big than have any of them too small. TrenchDigger
  9. Here are my, used ONCE, literally! Dee-luxe Indys' Mondo size 28. I tried the measure your foot on a piece on paper technique that Bomber recommended and came up with the size 28 Mondo. They are far too small and were very uncomfortable, I could only stand about two hours in them. I did like the stiff shell, it transfered board feel amazingly well. I also liked the crazy forward lean, it made going edge to edge effortless. I posted these here about two weeks ago but only included the factory pic. Now included are actual pictures. Notice the "made in Hungary" sticker on the bottom of the right boot. This sticker would not have survived more than one use equal to two hours of riding. Note also, that there are virtually no scratches on the shell. I did mold the Thermoflex liners once, the manufacturer says you can mold them seven or so times. I will ship them in the box that they were shipped to me in. I paid $395 for them. I think that is still the close out price here at Bomber. I am asking $325 for them, you pay shipping. Any questions reply to this post or you can email me directly if it is something private you need to talk about at afisher@dedicatedre.com I have a PayPal account if you are worried about secure payment. If you want to use a personal check which I would rather not do, I will wait untill the check is cleared before I ship. TrenchDigger a.k.a. Aron Fisher
  10. I love to "get head". Heard some good things about there boots too. TrenchDigger
  11. I have not sold my Indy's yet but will be reposting them later with actual pictures instead of the stock Manufacturer picture (that should help sell them). I am wondering if anybody has any experience with these two boots? I wore the Indys for about two hours for one day. I Loved the stiffness, it transfered the feel very nicely. I was able to go from edge to edge very well due to the crazy forward lean of the Indys. The fit was horrible though. I followed the directions from the Bomber site and did the outline of the foot thing, then measured that. The 28's I ordered were WAY too small. From a little research that I did, I read that the UPZ are much wider and have a little better arch. If anyone has any experience with the UPZ please let me know what you think about them. I would order the Indy again but in a larger size, obviously. Thanks, TrenchDigger <!-- / message -->
  12. My Bad! All the other stuff is true though! lol.
  13. I know you can use them in ski bindings, however, what makes Hard Snowboard boots different from Ski Boots is that the base of the boot is shorter and the Heel and Toe have been beveled. The flex in a Hardboot is different than Ski boot too, these boots are VERY stiff and quit comparable to a ski boot. It has been about 17 years since I have skied so the only thing I can compare it to is the Lange boots I used to ski in, quite similar. Also, most Hardboots are a little shorter in the cuff but these are not probably the same as the average Ski boot. It would be your call, obviously, if you want I can measure the base and get back to you. TrenchDigger
  14. I have pair of new\used once Deeluxe Indy's that are too small for me and I would like to sell them. I bought them at the VERY end of the season I think it was March maybe Febuary, I will check the receipt. The conditions were Horrible and the boots were way too small so I only used them for about 2 hours. So really they are new. They have the thermo liners that I did mold once. The manufacturer says you can mold them seven times or something like that. If you are interested email me. afisher@dedicatedre.com I will ship them in the box they were shipped to me in. New they are $395 I am selling these for $325 you pay shipping. TrenchDigger aka Aron Fisher
  15. I have always been a fan of short boards. They do require a little more control and concentration but it is worth it when you can lay down carves that leave thick ruts and pretend like your head is the point on a compass and let your whole body just turn around that (your head is the spike and your board the pencil). A long time ago I borrowed a board from this girl, it was a Sims Asym 153cm. Handsdown the most fun board I have ever riden. I compare it to this 183cm board that I used to ride, wait, you can't really compare them at all it is like day and night riding a long board and a short board. Nowdays I like to split the difference leaning more towards the smaller side, like 162. I own and ride regularly a Burton 158cm LOVE IT! Can't wait to try out the Madd. TrenchDigger
  16. 75" and counting for this storm 25" in the last 30 hours...... UNBELIEVABLE!!! http://www.mammothmountain.com/ TrenchDigger
  17. That would be a lame season, I feel for you. I lived in Colorado for six years so I am very spoiled. I went to Mammoth for a couple of days last month, same type of conditions but not as bad. It seems as of late, that everytime I plan a trip or go up for the day it sucks, then a big storm moves the next day and dumps all kinds. I can't win. TrenchDigger
  18. Just my luck, it snowed so much the week before was expecting it to be way better.
  19. I went to Snow Summit yesterday to get some much needed aggression out in the form of carving some deep-asss trenches. I was also trying out my new Dee-Luxe Indy boots. After I bought my lift ticket I was walking up to the lift and this guy kind of gave me the heads up regarding the snow conditions. He said that he had been carving already that morning and he and his buddy had to go switch to ski's. I didn't think much of his commentary on the conditions because I wanted to carve and try out my new boots. From the first turn after I buckled in I knew he was right, as I gained speed and really tried to lay one over the affects of the snow became more and more exaggerated. Heel or toe every turn was the same whether it was mellow or layed out the snow would push/fall out from under me. I tried hunting for a good spot with maybe 1 or none on each run. A couple of times on a toe turns the snow gaveway so much that the nose of my board submerged and I got bucked. It made for some good deep ruts when I could find a spot but it was so inconsistent and tracked up that I had a hard time linking more than 2-3 turns. NOT a good carving day. I switched to my softy set up which was better but still a waste of money as far as I'm concerned. Enough complaining. TrenchDigger
  20. If you look at pro skateboarding or pro snowboarding most of them are regular foot. In another thread there is a discussion about there being alot of engineer/science nerds (I am one too so not a derogatory remark) which also lends itself to my left/right brained hypothesis. Most scientific thinkers are left brained. So it does not surprise me that there are more goofy footers here. <TABLE cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=2><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle>Left Brain</TD><TD width=20 rowSpan=3> </TD><TD align=middle>Right Brain</TD></TR><TR><TD align=middle>Logical Sequential Rational Analytical Objective Looks at parts </TD><TD align=middle>Random Intuitive Holistic Synthesizing Subjective Looks at wholes </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
  21. The conditions in July at the Basin usually are not condusive to carving unless they got alot of late season snow. I would bring your soft and hard set ups as always. It tends to be hard in the morning and too soft in the afternoon just like most late spring early summer conditions are but it would be riding in July which is always a bonus.
