RicHard
Hello everybody... I should change my Burton Fire due to their age. I've just tried the DeeLuxe Suzuka but they are too low on the leg: I'm looking for a pair of boots that are enough high on the leg (like Burton Fire or DeeLuxe Indy). I tried the Le Mans too but... they are too soft! While I was charging my weight simulating a frontside carve, the shell was loosing its shape!!! :-O I see that Head ones are similar to the Suzuka. Which other brand could you suggest to substitute the Burton Fire? Thanks a lot... _RicHard

RicHard
Wow... RicHard
In my experience, even the liners are the same height. Ohps! Thanks a lot for your answer... because I discovered that the Suzuka I've tried this morning are not the same I find on the site!!! They don't have the powerstrep that I find on the Suzuka on the Deeluxe site!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRR! Different Suzuka? Different years? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Thanks a lot once more!... Now I think that suzuka or indy could be the right choice...

The Suzuka comes with a power strap if you get the Semi-Fit liner, and without of you get the fully moldable ThermoFlex liner. Likewise, the Indy comes with a power strap if you get Full-Fit, and without if you get Thermoflex. The Carver's Almanac (http://www.alpinecarving.com/bootfitting.html) explains the liner differences in detail, go to the "Liners" section. I am pretty sure the Suzuka/Indy shell mold has not changed in years, since the times when they were called AF600/AF700.

xray
Sources, sources... If it isn't true I will have made a fool of myself here (and some other places). So far my source is pretty reliable so I hope it will come true what they've told me. The will not be named Burton anymore since they dropped alpine but the boot will be the same.
