piusthedrcarve
Do new F2 Carve RS bindings have rubber damping pads? I have older 5mm bail ones and they do have a center round rubber pad and pad underneath toe bail and heel bail each. I got newer (6mm) one but they don't have any. Curious if it is designed that way or missing the pads. Thanks and Merry Christmas
charliechocolate
When I bought a pair ages ago brand new from a retailer, they did not come with any pads. Looking closely at the base of the bindings, there doesn't seem to be any point where they would attach, unlike the race Ti where there's four holes on each end of the bottom of the baseplate. I just cut up strips of silicone from baking containers and stuck them in between the board and the bindings.
BlueB
Carve RS, Blax, Proflex (all more or less the same), do not have rubber pads.

Left one is older model that has damping pads. Bail block slots are different and so does where the center disc sit. Older one is like race titanium that no grove. BlueB
Interesting! Are the disks metal then, like on Race?
piusthedrcarve
Yes. Just like Race Titanium. If you see the bottom of the binding, both have small 4 holes underneath of each bail for a rubber pad. I think F2 updated the design for less parts for simplicity and cost reduction. It all makes a sense but I think they ignored the dampening vibration by having rubber. I plan to add a 1mm rubber/silicone sheet underneath. piusthedrcarve
I found 1mm rubber sheet (12"x12", 1 side adhesive) in Amazon and attached them. I didn't bother to make slots to access bail block screws.
