lonbordin
So I want to stiffen my Malamutes forward lean. I've seen tongue mods on the forums before and I think I've got that under control. My main query is do you put the stiffening under the original tongue (internal) or over the original tongue (external)? Why did you chosen one or the other? Ease of use? Comfort? Worked with the boot geometry? Thanks! If it matters I'll be using them with Flow NX2-GT with Fusion Straps.
crackaddict
I've done both under and over personally, depending on the boot. These days I'm riding Driver X and I use the spare tongues that came with my Head Stratos Pro boots. I just slip the hard tongue under the Burton tongue. In truth, I use two of the Stratos Pro tongues in each boot and two booster straps on each boot as well. No gluing, no trimming; I can pull out the tongues and leave the straps at home on powder days. Lots of guys on this site probably have extra Head tongues, the boots always came with two sets. It's a magically perfect and comfortable fit. With the Flux XV bindings, it's as stiff as a soft hard boot setup. Works great! scottishsurfer
depends on the boot but generally i on the top of the boots tongue and under the laces. I have tried under the boots tongue but it affects the fit of the boot. You can see how i have my lofi's set up herehttps://www.instagram.com/p/B74A62MFvs1/
