charliechocolate
I'm going to Kamloops for a week during the holidays and I want to check out the resorts in the area. On my list are Apex, Big White and Sun Peaks. There's a couple of resorts that are on google but I've never heard of before, Harper Mountain and Summit Lake. I'd appreciate any info on any of the above resorts. Revy looks like quite a trek from Kamloops but I'm also considering checking it out. BlueB
Are you going to sleep at Kamloops only? Sun Peaks and Silver Star are your 2 closest options. Plenty of terrain between those two to keep you busy for a week. I like Sun Peaks more for carving. Silver Star has some great freeride terrain too (tight) but traversing is involved. Bring you pow board too, if going to Revy.
crackaddict
@charliechocolate Come to Revy! Bring a pow board, ya.
charliechocolate
@crackaddict, I buggered up my ankle doing dumb stuff. I would have come otherwise. It doesn't look like I'm going anywhere for now.

Gtanner
To revive this - any thoughts on Silverstar vs. SunPeaks for family-friendly skiing? 2 groms (7&10) solid skiers both of them that can do Horizon or Rainbow without issue. I'm targeting a march-break option
BlueB
You can't go wrong with either. Sun Peaks is bigger and there's less traversing.
Gtanner
Thanks Boris - ended up booking Silverstar due to availability of accommodations. Now the big debate - I'll have skis to be chasing my groms around...but do I bring my plates to grab a few runs here and there... How is the grooming? BlueB
It was very good, when I visited there.
