Dw3
Been having a great week at MHSSC. As a new alpine rider I wasn’t sure what to expect with their snowboard racing program but for me it has been fantastic. Their alpine snowboard coach really knows his stuff. I have learned so much this week, never thought I would ever be able to carve turns switch, do butters or heel grabs on jumps but now feel comfortable doing these in the hardboots. I have had too much fun switching to downhill edge to initiate turns and build some serious speed. I would highly recommend checking this place out for anyone wanting to get some serious instruction, and skip the trial and error phase ( which is what I have been doing until now).

bucky
My daughter just got back from MHSSC - she had a great time and recommends it. This was her second year going there. She gets to go back to Mt. Hood in two weeks for Project Gold. Not a bad summer!
patmoore
Never considered it. Maybe next summer. Would be cool to get training in both disciplines!
Keenan
I'm not sure why Sean didn't post here but they are doing a Mt. Hood camp this Summer. It looks like fun. https://www.donek.com/product/carving-block/
lindseasnow
@Keenan The coach is Mike Jennings. @Dw3 and I were both there at the same time as @bucky's daughter. It was a great group and I learned a ton.
