Newb needs to try on some boots and have a car. Is there any place that would have them up here?

No Alpine Hardboots in Tahoe ....or even Mammoth.  I don't know of any place that carries Alpine Hardboots in the CA!

....best bet.......  buy used here, go 1-2 sizes down from street shoe size for performance fit!
