Right said Shred - volkl web site,

This board was originally only available to the Volkl Work Cup riders, but after countless requests, the Coal Race is now available to all speed junkies. Based on the Coal XT, with some adjustments made by the Volkl Race Lab, the Coal Race is fine tuned for World Cup racing. With the more defined pin-tail shape, longer effective edge, specific flex with Premium Carbon Beam and Racewall Sidewalls, your friends will have to get used to seeing the back of you.
SPECIFICATION
Construction: Pro Camber Profile with slight nose rocker, Directional Freeride Sidecut, Supreme Wood Core with Cellcore Inlays, Anti Vibration System, Racewall sidewalls, POP 4.0/Premium Carbon Lower Beam, Fine Stone and Diamond Finish with Special Structural Finish
Length: 159cm
Running length: 140cm
Waist width: 25.6cm
Sidecut radius: 12.58m
Setback: 35mm
Flex: 9
FEATURES
Pro Camber – This is a traditional snowboard profile, with the camber section of the board running from the tip, all the way to the tail. The Coal Race has a ‘rocker’ section at the nose of the board which is best described as an ‘early rise’ tip or ‘Nose Rocker’. This is designed so the board can handle the banked corners on a Boardercross course. The camber section which runs for most of the length of the board and the longer sidecut provide excellent edge hold throughout the turns.
Directional Freeride Sidecut – Increased setback, asymmetrical sidecut, and a wider nose than tail, coupled with stiffer flex patterns in the rear of the board generate outstanding float while increasing edge pressure at higher speeds.
Supreme Woodcore with Cellcore Inlays – Straight from aerospace technology and used in the nose, tail and between the bindings. A rigid foamed synthetic material is integrated with wood stringers with a higher percentage of solid wood in the inserts area. Minimal weight and extremely short response times are the benefits.
Anti Vibration Systems as used on Volkl boards incorporate rubber and gel layers into the topsheet of the board around the bindings, without the need for raised sections. These layers dramatically reduces the amount of vibration and chatter passed through to the rider
Race Lab Splitbase / PTEX 4000 The Volkl Race Laboratory knows the secret to making incredibly fast bases. Darren Powell reached speeds of more than 202 km/h on a Volkl snowboard a few years ago. Understandably, they are keeping it a secret. They do let us know that the side strips of the base that run alongside the edges are made of the extraordinarily abrasion-resistant PTEX 20188.
POP 4.0 is a complete carbon sheet running the entire shape of the board. Two additional strips run diagonally along the length of the board for unmatched torsional stiffness and edge to edge response.
Racewall Sidewall – Regular sidewalls will slow you down when you are riding hard on your edge. The Racewall is made from the same sintered material as the base, and can therefore be waxed to provide the ultimate glide. In a race even fractions of a second count.
