Hey Bobby,

Fresh snow and New England-esque cold temps (18 below this morning) have produced midwinter chalk conditions, perfect for blasting high performance arcs. The pow and trees are pretty good, too. Look forward to a great session.

Hope to meet you for a few turns while you're in town. PM when you get here if you'd like to hook up.

Cheers,

Do you know, what is open in Vail, which is good for carving? Wide, high angel slopes?

Yup. As of today, in order of steepness: Blue Ox. Avanti. Pickaroon. Northwoods. Dealers. Born Free.

Daily grooming report is your best bet to quickly find the goods.

Great conditions for carving. Bundle up and enjoy the empty slopes!

Hey, maybe, you know cheaper, than 25$, parking?!!
There are more than a few free parking spots in Vail. Many are located on the free bus line a short distance from the base areas. Get there early as they fill up fast during busy holiday periods and most weekends.

Free parking places, easily accessed using the free town shuttle:

While less economical, many folks find parking in the structures worth the daily fee as it allows quick and easy access to swap boards, change clothes, get lunch, etc. Also the Vail Village parking structure houses the Ski and Snowboard Museum, worth a visit while you're in town.
