Zsa Zsa the Bomber Dog Moves On.....

Had to put down our working dog last fall. Quick onset of cancer as well. Since our vet is also my wife we were surprised how quickly it progressed. Living with the dog 24/7 made it obvious that something was wrong but attempts to respond to it was pointless and the decision was made to hasten the end rather than prolong it. Not sure after planting old dogs as well as sheep, cats, horses, ducks and donkeys all over our farm i'm left wondering if dogs live too long or not long enough. What is a certainty is that future dogs are always compared to those before them good or bad they all leave their influence. When you eventually get another don't expect it to be the same as your previous dog allow it to develop it's own character an enjoy the surprises it will deliver in your life.

Sorry to hear the news. It's the natural way of things, to live, to die, hopefully you can avoid hurting too many people in between. Our pets really show us how much life is precious and how fast time goes by. The pictures and words of others on this thread show an exceptional life, and that is a good thing to keep in mind at a time like this.
