JohnO'Brien
Hello, I have a chance to add a couple of days onto a business trip and was wondering what the conditions are right now at Snowbird and what the best carving slopes are? Thanks in advance for your help, John
fin
John, THE man for the Snowbird area is Kevin McDougall. His user name here is "Mcdougall" but has not been too active here in a while. But I know he is crazy busy during the summer so he can spend the winter at the Bird. Drop me a direct line if he does not answer a contact from here. AaronG
Kevin is an awesome guy! Rode with him at a SES and a WTC a few years back.
digger jr
Since Mcdougall is somewhat sidelined at the moment I will give you a report. Currently at the Bird There is only one run opentop to bottom, Regulator Johnson/ Big Emma/ Wilber. Grooming is somewhat uneven and Big Emma is in deep shade with some slick spots. Views from the tram are amazing. If you are thinking about an alternative Solitude has been good lately. Still basicly one run per lift, but their grooming has been outstanding and you have sun from the opening bell. Will be there tomorrow and most likely Sunday if you want a tour. JohnO'Brien
Ron, Thanks for the offer. I now have to work out the logistics and timing and will take you up on the offer when I know the dates. John
