I own a few pairs of each... and have for 1.5 seasons.

Similarities: both are more responsive heel/toe than side/side, although the difference is more pronounced in the SWs. Both offer a reasonably forgiving ride.

Differences: Weight and height is the big one. SWs are heavy. I avoid using them with my Boiler plate and in powder for that reason, although I do plan to try the new plate-mount kit this season. Will probably never use them in powder again, it just didn't work. Then again, I usually ride softies in powder these days...

There is a difference in feel too. The SWs offer a lot of movement strictly in the lateral direction, in the direction that they are engineered to offer movement. With the F2s, the movement is more omni-directional although it varies with direction. If you're a math/science guy, the SWs ar more "discrete" or "digital" in that respect, and the F2s are more "continuous" or "analog".
