K2 T1 softboots

Has anyone used the K2 T1 softboots? I need a new set of softies and these felt fantastic in the shop…nice and stiff.

The question now is whether or not the dual boa system can be trusted? I’m ok with the internal one for the inner-liner, but if the external one broke on a mountain, I’d be screwed, whereas I could manage with a broken lace for the day. They offer two models, one with a dual boa, and one with a single one (internal only). I'm leaning toward the single-boa model Any thoughts?

Also, this boot has intuition liners. I’ve never had moldable liners on softboots, so I’m wondering if I should expect the same fit as I get with my hardboots…such as expecting a half-size pack-out within the first 5ish days.

Thanks,

Gord

I don't think you have to worry much about the BOA system much, those little cables are quite strong. I ran a set of DC boots with a dual BOA system (upper and lower sections of the outer boot) that were great. I wish my Malamutes were set up the same way. Dial in the feel you want and forget about it till time for removal. Good stuff right there.

Folks,

So in doing my diligent shopping around, I have found that these boots are $100-150 more expensive in Canada (go figure). And unfortunately, there is an agreement between each of the online stores with K2 that says that they cannot ship internationally.

Would anyone be willing to recieve the boots in the Western part of the States and send them accross the border to Canada via USPS? I'll obviously pay all the shipping and would even throw you a couple bucks for your time.

Thanks,

Gord
