Needless to say I almost s**t my pants that run. Of course, the next run, I hit 45 mph, stinkbug, and hello sprained wrist! Since then I haven't gone any faster. Gecko Posted October 29, 2010 Report Share Posted October 29, 2010 lonboardin there is a point where extra wheelbase is more of a hinderence than a help...I believe the longest WB on a speedboard is about 34" with the bulk of the boards on the market being in the 31-33" area....freeride boards runs 28-32" so there is some overlap like everything it become more natural the more you do it. Before I broke my ankle I was un-nerved by highspeed turns but since relearning to skate and learning to slide for speed control my comfort level has climbed considerably but since I don't really care to skateboard in leathers my time spent above 40mph is limited Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
