!MaineCarver!
Hey I am kind of new at but alpine boards and I was just wondering... What are good companies for a slalom board and what dimensions? And what would be a better board for a 16 year old kid a Donek Metal Race 174 or 180 or a Prior WCR 177 or 183? This would be for racing. Mtrappy
I would go with a 180ish board. About 20-20.5 cm wide.

!MaineCarver!
What is your opinion on a Donek board or a Prior?
tex1230
What is your opinion on a Donek board or a Prior? Both are very good boardmakers. Most high level racers over the past few years have been riding Kessler or SG, but some other companies have caught up recently.
!MaineCarver!
Cool thanks I am just really getting in to alpine racing (I have been racing soft boots for ever ) and I don't have that great of a price range. lol Thanks tons for the help
gnat
I have these for sale: The Kessler KST board is a 162 SL built for a 5'9" 185lbs rider and it comes with a hangl plate. The SG is a 178, not hammer head, the last year with the pointed noses. That board is just stock and i'm not sure exactly what the board was built for, but it can turn on a dime, especially for a GS board, and is wicked responsive.
