newcarver
I did something dumb:smashfrea I accidently put a 2 deg base bevel on my board. Is there any way to fix this other than doing a base grind? Will it effect the way the board rides much? Usually have a 1 deg base bevel and 88 deg sides. DiveBomber
depends on the type of board and conditions, you could try putting a4deg side edge, to even it out
Ear dragger
I think you're gonna have to lean alot more to initiate the edge with the 2 degrees. try it. :( I think the only way to fix is base grind.
newcarver
Its on my SG Cult which is an all mountain free carve board. It is about due for a grind anyway due to hitting some rocks in the early season. Will see how it rides 1st. Hopefully won't be too big of a difference. DiveBomber
just lean 1 deg more!
Buell
I seriously doubt it will matter on the Cult. Maybe if it is really firm groom.

You may even like it.

jburrill
Dont worry. It'll ride fine. Alot of riders use 1.5. If you keep filing at your base bevels they eventually increase anyhow. The board will ride "fishier" Try it before you go changing it.
NateW
Try it before you go changing it. This. I've experimented with a couple of different base bevels and the difference is pretty subtle. My main board is 1.5, with a 2.5 edge bevel, and I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference from when it was 1.0 / 2.0.
