AlpineUndertaker
Ok, so the storage wax will be coming off the boards soon and I make a huge mess every year because the wax always seems to get electrically charged and stick to the scraper or everything but the trash can! Have you dealt with this and what can I do to control the crazy wax shavings! If I'm the only one, I'll be shocked. I'm even thinking about taking the wax off outside this time because of all the wax I got on the basement floor the past few years. Any tricks / tips? Pat Donnelly
warm it up with your iron and scrap to remove before it sets up; this is also a base cleaning method. If you want to be cheap about it, you can use plain old parafin wax for storage and cleaning. Follow up with base renew and / or top wax of choice. http://www.dominatorwax.com/renewzoom.html
philfell
Store the boards with a softer wax on them. Use a sharp scraper, or if you don't have a means to sharpen the one you have buy a new one. Scrape in one direction, not back and forth.
