Finish Question - "Gliding On" Polyurethane

Recommended Posts

My initial "protection coating" on board # 2 is spray poly. I'm brushing and lightly feathering out the rails with thinned-out canned poly of same manufacture.

Everyone's raving about the easy, beautiful coatings that can be obtained wiping on polyurethane with lambswool. Anyone know of a less expensive wipe-on application material?

Thanks

BB

I wiped poly on to a desk with a old cotton t shirt

worked awesome!

used old sweaters before, guess those were wool.

poly that's been rubbed on does have a certain sexy look that can't be sprayed or brushed..

my experience is with furniture so YMMV
