trav_t
I'm heading back to VT in late March for a friend's birthday and am planning on riding 1 day. The airline wants $100 each way to transport my board! I was thinking it may make more sense to demo instead of shipping my board. Can anyone recommend somewhere in southern VT to demo something like a radair tanker, donek, prior, etc? I could ride hard boots or soft depending on what might be available. We will probably be riding Stratton or Okemo. Sorry if this is off topic for the ride board but was thinking there would be more people in the know here. Thanks for any help you guys can provide. trailertrash
The Starting Gate at the base of the access road at Stratton I think has demo gear. Steph?
trav_t
Thanks. I'll give them a call to see if they demo. I see they are a Donek dealer. I appreciate the prompt reply. Not Steph.

tex1230
yeah as of early this year they had donek and coilers in stock as well as a few older oxygens - don't think they demo the coilers but ask for shawn or steph - they will treat you well. trav_t
Oh, I'm already starting to get excited. I'd better see if I can still cram my size 12 foot into my size 10.5 Raichles!
JoeK.inVt
They are Donek only now and yes, they do demos.
xxguitarist
Joek, Know the cost to demo? Know if they have anything metal? I know I shouldn't try until I can afford to buy but it'd be good to know anyway.
trav_t
Thanks to everyone for all the info. I will call as soon as I get a chance to see what models they demo and costs. I'll post here asap.
Steph
Hey trav_t - The Startingate is a Donek dealer this year, and that is all we have in stock. However, we don't have any demo boards left, as they have all been SOLD this year!! What do you normally ride??
trav_t
Steph, Hard boot setups are Hooger Tuned 181 and Burton Ultraprime 164, both with burton race plates. For softboots I just got an 08 leftover Burton Triumph 169. That Donek Razor really interests me. Did you guys carry those this year? I may be about due for some new hardboots also, do you guys have anything in stock?
Steph
No Donek Razors in the store this year. However, I know that Mark Ressler is selling one in the classified section here. As for boots, we've got Head Stratos Pros, and Deeluxe T700, T325, & T225. Check the website for sizes at www.startingate.net.
