rdietz
Does anyone know who these guys are? I know these have to be snow carvers but these speeds on the street are wild. No brakes, just confidence and control on their long boards. I was totally impressed by the brass balls these guys have. I just got a total kick from this clip. Hope you check it out. http://www.break.com/index/three-men-one-death-wish.html

Gecko
I know it was one of the vids I regularly watched while I was laid up with a broken ankle....

Dan
Does anyone know who these guys are? I know these have to be snow carvers but these speeds on the street are wild. http://www.break.com/index/three-men-one-death-wish.html One of those guys is Noah Sakamoto. I don't know much about him, but I think he's based in San Francisco, and he won a Zoobomb race in Portland in 2006 or so. That's a technical downhill course here, starting near the zoo and desending through a residential neighborhood with some really tight turns. Usually people just ride it for fun (and usually on tiny children's bicycles, but that's a whole 'nother story) but a few years ago they put together a semi-legit race. Don't know if he's a snowboarder as well...Tahoecarvers should try to recruit him if he doesn't ride snow already. :eplus2: -------------------------- Crazy -- googling Noah Sakamoto just turned up this NYT article: http://themoment.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/09/04/hot-pursuit-joy-riding-with-adam-kimmel/#more-2155 Talk about the counterculture getting co-opted. Gecko
Not my first choice of clothing for road rash..Gecko, traffic or not, have you ever gone that fast? yes but in a straight line and not for anywhere near that long, I honestly prefer speeds in the mid to high 30s low 40's to that kind of speed. Now the guys I skate with are much more adept at doing speed like that but they also wear leathers when they do
Keyser Soze
Old news or not, it's still fun for those who haven't seen it before. Thanks for the post. Yeah man, that was awesome, thanks! Crazy -- googling Noah Sakamoto just turned up this NYT article: http://themoment.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/09/04/hot-pursuit-joy-riding-with-adam-kimmel/#more-2155 That's really cool, nice find. They're handing the camera back and forth right? I can't hear what they're saying because my sound isn't working.
