GStam93
Hey i alpine snowboard and i usually carve but this year i wanna take it to the next level and start racing. Anybody know if there are race teams or just individual races in NE? Do i need to register with USASA?
sfleck
If you want to get into racing, USASA is probably your best bet. Myself and Noah (ncermak) will be running some race training at Ski Ward in Shrewsbury on Wednesday nights and Saturday afternoons. Not sure where you're located, but we have some other young racers riding hard boots, as well as some older guys who come out occasionally to run some snowboard gates. We should have all the exact details figured out soon, as well as our Massachusetts USASA schedule. You can check out our USASA Massachusetts page at www.ridemass.org Hope this helps, and feel free to contact me with any other questions you might have. GStam93
Hey thats great... I'm 14 and I live in foxboro... i've been riding softboots but got in to had boots 2 years ago. I picked up pretty quick and want to start taking it further. That sounds great, i'll check out the websites, and probably see you there. patmoore
Greg, If you find yourself at Okemo this winter, stop by the NASTAR course. On Saturdays and Sundays I'll be setting one of the two courses with snowboard-specific gates. You can get unlimited runs for $10.

gray_on_tray
Hi, Steve. Glad to hear you guys are doing the race training again this year. I just might have to finally try it. Please post details when you have them and thanks! Carol.
PointBreak
A thread on the MA CT RI Ride board says the Ward training will be on Tuesday nights rather than Wednesday this year…
ncermak
Tuesday's 1/6 1/13 1/20 1/27 2/3 2/10 2/24 7pm to 9 pm $120 The price is for kids joining the training program. I understand that some of the adults may only come by periodically. If you will be there regularly, it would help the cause if you could pay up. I will also have to confirm with Ward that they don't need a release or payment... -Noah
