But wait, if you act now ......I do like your brand of persuasion CK!! Regretfully, this weekend will involve summer activities... I think I just might be starting to embrace the change of the seasons. This winter is proving to be a hard one for me to let go of... 100+ days and the snow was epic from December till.... yesterday. See you on closing day!! Blue Bird and I are planning a mountain bike ride on Sunday. We will be riding either Apex or Dakota Ridge in the Morrison/Red Rocks area if anyone wants to join us. Sounds like six riders are in so far.Hopefully the Sunday ride will be better than today. It was my fourth ride of the season and my ass hurt so bad I could hardly spin... or maybe that's just the excuse dejour. Here's one run from Thedo Remmelink's spring training camp shot yesterday (May 16) so you can see for yourself: I like very much the riding style of the first "blue" rider... There were six HBers in our group and three more on the hill that we saw as well as a rather large contingency of monoboarders. Closing day at Abasin was complete with all of it's usual mayhem. The highlights for me were mullet head butt crack guy (I think Jen has a pic of this), two dudes mounted to one pair of skis, One guy who had an alpine board mounted to each foot using them as skis, wasted hot chick trying to pond skim, a snowboarder dressed as Jesus giving the entire lower lift line the finger, a snowboarder dude destroying his board in the parking lot, four inches of new snow for the final day, and of course watching Kimo lay it down 29 days after brain surgery.
