They lost in the series 4 games to 1 (vs Baltimore). The very next year they didn't finish above .500. Formidable bats and no depth to pitching. Lee May is missing in that picture - big contributor to the BRM and rarely recognized in revisionist historical accounts like this (joke). scotts.Scheinman Posted August 3, 2008 Report Share Posted August 3, 2008 in all seriousness, the dodgers got the worst end of the deal. Even though they got a great player, he is older and a media circus attraction which will distract the team. Boston got a great young player in Jason Bay and Pittsburgh got some great young prospect which will prob go to waste in that city.
