UPZ in Walk Mode

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

I just got off the mountain today and it was cold but snowing all day. My Coiler AM kicked ass cutting through the chopped up crud. I found that when I had both boots in "walk" mode, I had more flexibility and more maneuverability.

I was just wondering if anyone else riding UPZ boots are riding in "walk" mode? If so, I'm curious if anyone has figured out a way to protect the clip (I worry about snapping it off with my RSV superlights).

Comments?

DON'T DO IT!!!

Seriously, it will deform the shells of your boot. I was doing a drill with walk mode, and the boots are not meant to be ridden as such. The upper part of the shell overlapped with the bottom part and ot stuck. I had to pry it back into place, nearly causing the plastic to buckle and break.

this applies to all the boots I've owned and that covers just about anything you can buy these days other than head.

seriously, bad idea, each boot there is a reason why it's bad and I don't need to get into it here.

It's called walk mode for a reason.
