Dan
As the thread title says, does anyone have any cell phone recs? My current Motorola is still going strong after almost 2 years, and it's given new meaning to "take a licking and keep on ticking." I've fallen on it in longboard (skateboard) wipeouts a few times and it kept right on trucking. It's starting to get pretty ratty now though (paint is almost all peeled off), and I'm tired of dealing with the crappy old-style Motorola charger, which only works when it feels like it. I'm on T-mobile, so that's the choices that I have to work with. Does anyone have any recommendations for a beefy flip phone or slider that can tolerate the occasional rapid deceleration from 35 mph? Thanks!
pebu
Like they say, it's not the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop at the end... I had a motorola v265 that got ran over by our car (in some fairly hard sand) and it still works. It doesn't have many frills, but it seems pretty bulletproof. I don't know if they're still making it though.
Dave Pushee
I like the motorola razr. Don't know if it works with t-mobile though. The best part is that you can charge it through a USB cable. It's also bluetooth compatible. I haven't dropped it from a chairlift or carved over it yet though so I can't attest to durability.
pebu
USB charching (and data) would definately be nice. I wish they'd make an e815 with the USB port instead of the port it has on it.
peter_x
Treo 650. I don't know if they have a T-Mobile version, but you can get unlocked GSm phones.
