Anyone Looking for Nordica SBH boots?

They were offered by the PureCarve folks with the Maverick 175 and snowpro race binders.

Amazingly comfortable and light. Hikable full rubber sole. Best for carving surf style and freeriding. PERFECT for riding a freeride board with plates.

BUT, they are a bit cheezy, the liners are crap, the clamps are junky. The stiffness adjustment is a joke. And the don't go far up the leg. They ARE stiff enought to really have at it with, but not like a race boot.

I LOVE mine though, the utter bliss comfort is a luxury. Too bad nobody offers a modern comparable product ( that I know of ). It would bring a lot of softies over to the dark (hardboot) side.

AND they would all have to buy plate bindings too!

I dunno - I had a pair of Koflach Damians (Valugga Lights in disguise) which are similar. The liners had tongues which tended to rotate sideways so I had bare shin on plastic. Solved that with some home-made laces. They flexed a little ways pretty soft, but then stopped solid. Also, they were bright pink.

My Raichles are much more progressive-flexing, the wrap liners work fine with the lateral forces, and they are a sobre grey/black. I'd have to want to do a lot of hiking before I'd go back to the AT style boot.
