wavechaser Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I was just out riding my Volkl Cross 167 again today - best bumps board I've ever been on hands down, then it lays out carves, stable at high speed straight-lining, jump into the trees no problem, took it in the park at the end of the day. Just an amazing freeride board - plates OR softies. It's so much fun I want to get another so I have one at the ready when this one wears out - if ever - the thing seems to be bulletproof as well. I have kicked myself before when a product is this great and you figure you can always get another, then they stop making them or they aren't available anymore. So...I want one in new or near new condition, 167 only. Quote
skategoat Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 I know Dave at yyzcanuck had one. I borrowed it once so I don't think he uses it much. Might be for sale. A great ride. You also might consider a Volkl Spline. Slightly softer and more forgiving in the bumps. I use it late season on mashed potato snow and it's the bomb. Quote
tdifan_2003 Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 I have a Spline - shorter than you would like, but just in case...... Look it up in the "For Sale" section Quote
wavechaser Posted January 24, 2007 Author Report Posted January 24, 2007 Nope...Cross 167 only...anything softer is too soft. Thanks for the offer though. Skategoat - I'll give Dave a try, thank you. Quote
yyzcanuck Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 I'll give Dave a try I don't ride it often but... like you, I love that board. Quote
wavechaser Posted January 25, 2007 Author Report Posted January 25, 2007 Cool - the best days I have freeriding always seem to be on the Cross! Quote
