I'm a long time softbooter whos caught the carving bug after seeing hardbooters in Vermont the past few years. I'm from the midwest and heading out to ME to hopefully board this coming thurs-sunday, i'll be between sugarloaf, saddleback, sunday river, basicly wherever I can find the best/any snow. Over the summer I picked up a pretty beat up 167 fp and a used prior 174 awd as well as some raichle 125's and td2's. assuming there is going to be some snow anyone going to be around that could maybe give me some pointers? I was hoping to be able to play around with them some before this trip but the mid to high 40 degree weather w've been having ruined that. also which board would I be better off starting out on? I'm 6'2 195.

Thanks

Thanks for the advice, I used the email that was supplied as a contact for Erik on the bomber site hopefully I can get one. And I'll defiently use the Prior to learn since it seems to be the concensus. I'm hoping to hit up the loaf hopefully Sat and Sun. I'll probably be at Sunday River Thurs and Sunday River or Saddleback on Fri depending on how motivated my friends are.

It went really well, I spent the rest of the day on the prior and was feeling really comfortable going heelside to toeside and by the end of the day my toeside to heelside was just about there. I managed to lock into a bunch of toeside turns and 1-2 good heelside turns without my tail washing out. I can't wait to get out on it again hopefully I get out some more this year. Good to meet you on the hill and thanks for the tips. Did you end up trying the loaf yesterday?
